I will have over about 10 adults. The party will be very simple and casual. I prefer to serve finger foods and give out cool "trinkets" in the door bags (for guys and gals). I just don't know where to begin.

Veggie trays with dip, bread bowl dips, little sandwiches on dinner rolls, hummus and chips, lil smokies in a crock, fondue, meat and cheese trays, shrimp platter, Swedish meatballs in the crockpot, bread with olive oil and balsamic, deviled eggs, the possibilities are endless.

For trinkets, how about Mardi Gras beads (cheap from the party store), maybe a deck of cards, maybe a little thing of chocolates. Maybe a current pic of you guys, and a thank you note. Oh, and maybe a teeny bottle of liquor, like those kind you get on airlines (if that's ok with your friends).

Just some random ideas off the top of my head.

I would find a poem or an inspired saying about what a home means to you. I would hand write it in gold on parchment paper and then wrap it around a beautiful scented candle for the girls and around a nice pepper or spice grinder for the BBQ kings!
place in small brown paper carry bags that you have stamped with a design to match your house and add a few lollies or candy that were popular when you were all kids and tie the handles with some curling ribbon and put a name tag on each and you have the perfect party favors.

Buy a large block of velveta cheese.Melt the cheese pour in a jar of salsa and 2 cans of bean with bacon soup. This makes the best dip with plain tortilla chips.I would also go to a sub shop and order the party size sub sandwich. As far as the gift bags I do not have any good ideas.Goodluck!

They are quick & easy. Throw them in so they are done as guests are arrive the house will smell great!!

PINWHEELS

2 - Cans Crescent Rolls
1 - 8 oz Cream Cheese
1 - Can Mushrooms (Chopped Finely)
Minced or Chopped Garlic (1/2 to 1 tsp)
Salt (to taste)
1 - Egg – Whites Only
Poppy Seeds

Mix together cream cheese, chopped mushrooms, garlic and salt

Lay crescent rolls out flat and seal the seams. Spread ½ of cream cheese mixture on each of the crescent roll dough. Roll up dough. Cut in ¼ to ½” thick pinwheels. Lay on un-greased cookie sheet. Beat egg white until fluffy. Spread on the tops of the pinwheels. Sprinkle with poppy seed. Bake in 400° oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

If you have a crockpot, try this:

Frozen meatballs (enough to fill crockpot 3/4 full)
1 bottle of Heinz chili sauce (must be CHILI sauce, not other sauce)
1 jar of grape jelly (approximately same size as chili sauce)

On top of stove, put jelly and chili sauce into a saucepan. Cook on low heat until warmed, melted and mixed together. Put meatballs in crockpot, pour sauce over top, and cook in crockpot on low heat for about 6 hours. It sounds gross, but they are REALLY good.

Cold favorite, serve with tortilla chips:

1 can vegetarian refried beans
1 container of sour cream (at least 8 ounces)
1 package of taco seasoning
1 jar of mild or medium salsa
1 package of finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
chopped green onions
sliced black olives

In the bottom of a cake pan or steep-sided baking dish, spread the refried beans. In another bowl, mix the sour cream and taco seasoning together until thoroughly blended. Pour on top of refried beans and spread evenly. Pour salsa over top of that and spread. Cover with shredded cheese. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sliced black olives over top. REFRIGERATE until you put it out for the party.

I also make crab stuffed mushrooms, chili/cream cheese dip in the crockpot, and various desserts.

For any party, I always have chips/dip available along with a veggie tray.

How about sandwiches cut out in the four card shapes (heart, spade, etc). All the above sounds great.

Giveaways: cards, mini board games (I like Oriental Trading also) wood game books (in childrens book area).

I love spinach dip with pita chips! Also have a tray of veggies like carrots and celery with ranch dressing, and of course, bowls of chips and pretzels.

For favor bags, how about little scented candles? I think they're about a dollar each.
