I am going to give a toast at the wedding of two good friends later this month. Anyone know of any good, traditional, funny wedding toasts?

Don't over think it.. Any canned speech seems impersonal and gets less laughs. Try not read off of note cards unless you have a bulleted list.

Here are a few themes you can start with:
--- "i've known "groom" for X years and i can tell you he's made some really dumb decisions...." go into some dumb, funny things he's done and wrap it up with the first good decision is getting married
--- top 10 reasons "bride/groom' should get married
--- before you get married, here are some things you should know about "groom"... go into some wierd/funny things, end with "he loves you" "never seen him so happy", etc
--- "'Bride" thank you for making this guy a better man" go into how she's made him a better man....

To toast someone is actually to have a drink in their honor. Like at a wedding reception, they give everyone a glass of champagne, someone (like the best man) gives a little speech, and then everybody drinks to the couple.

This is a traditional Irish toast, I guess you could add your won funny if you would like to:

May there always be work for your hands to do,
May your purse always hold a coin or two,
May the sun always shine on your window pane,
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain,
May the hand of your love always be near you,
May god fill your heart with gladness to cheer you

Congratulations to your friends! Good luck!

(alternately, you might rent 4 Weddings & a Funeral - Hugh Grant gives a pretty amusing speech at one of the weddings).

joke about how beautiful the bride is and how you cant understand how your funny-looking friend was able to marry her. something like that
i heard an awesome toast and it started with that..then it went on to a comparison of their lives (always making fun of his buddy, of course). it kept everyone laughing

How about: "I imagine (insert groom's name) might be a little worried about what I might be about to say, but he's doesn't need to worry. I made a promise to him about that and I intent to keep it. What happened that night between him and those sheep is his business and that's how it's going to stay".
