Hi, if you wanna really save money and your party is really big (I mean lots of people), then your best bet is COSTCO, SAM'S CLUB and WALMART. COSTCO and SAM'S CLUB have everything in bulk. So you can buy the disposable plates and glasses and tissues from there. If you need a little lesser quantity then WALMART is your next best bet. Your local grocery store will have a wider variety of food items like cakes and cookies than the wholesale stores. So you should plan what you need and accordingly shop.

If you've got a membership try Costco/Sam's Club. They have huge amounts of foods at bulk prices. Or if you don't have a membership, try Smart & Final - also an outlet/warehouse store.
If you don't want to go to one of the above stores, I'd recommend Wal*Mart; Target tends to be a bit overpriced in my opinion (unless you can find the stuff on sale). Grocery stores, no matter what, are going to be more expensive.

If you do stuff like this often it might be wise to become a member at Sam's Club. I think that for the most part wal-mart is the cheapest unless the grocery store is having a big sale. I wouldn't bother with Target, their prices are usually a bit higher for everything.

Check to see if there is a Food Liquidation Center in your area, it's a place where they have bought groceries in bulk from places either going out of business and that was surplus inventory. Just be sure to check the dates on things. Also, some Dollar Tree stores have quite a collection of snacks , both salty and sweet, and juices and sodas ,all for a buck each. That way you end up with a larger variety of things , more bang for your buck.

Walmart is a good place to shop for cheap but if you are planning on buying bulk try Costco or Sam's club. They have really good prices on bulk items. They also have party trays and premade sandwiches which would be perfect for such an event.

In general, I would say Walmart has the lowest prices on everyday items. Sometimes you can catch a sale on things at a grocery store and get them cheaper, especially if you use coupons. But I would say if you want to do all your shopping at one store without comparing sale ads, Walmart is your best bet!

go to the grocery game .com I think the intital sign up is for free. You pick the grocery stores in your area that you shop and a list is produced for you that lists all sale prices- published and UNPUBLISHED!!! + if you clip coupons- which coupons coordinate with sale items. IT's a great website and it certainly will let you know which store to shop at which week.
Good Luck!

Target has shorter lines
Walmart is always packed. Cashiers and Prices broken. But cheap
Your choice save time or money. Id go with target. Hate wasting my time in Walmart behind a "PRICE CHECK" light

Try Cost-Co or BJs. You can gain teh membership fee back in gas savings alone. THey have great club gas prices and you can't beat them for bulk food purchases.
