Something that uses vodka or whiskey as a base. Do these recipes need an airlock or will a glass gallon jug with a top be sufficient? How long will they take? Thanks.

I know a person that drinks water like crazy. He thinks that there is nothing wrong with that. What is going to happen to him if he keeps doing it?

My fiance use to drink a LOT. Almost every day, and in large quantities. Sometimes he would come close to polishing off a bottle of whiskey. There was a point that he messed up real bad, and I told him if he didnt quit drinking I would break up with him (2 years ago) He agreed, but later I found out he only quit for about a month. He said that he just couldnt stop, and that he felt horrible for doing it behind my back, but he couldnt help himself. Well, now that we have kids, he has a decent job and drinks once, MAYBE twice a week. He only gets "wasted" if he's around his friends. If its just him and I, its not that bad. However, when we are around his friends and he promises to only drink one, it always turns into more. Also, he says the thought of quitting drinking makes him sad. He says its not that he would miss getting drunk per say, but he couldnt imagine never tasting beer again. So is this alcoholism, or just someone who REALLY loves beer? What type of alcoholism would this be

ok, I am going out tonite with the girls. and the thing is, I haven't drank in over a year (not a former alcoholic, just never did)

so you know that means, I cannot hold my liquor. But I want to get a little tipsy. just not too much. How can I prevent from taking a spill and getting wasted?

I know this question is ridiculous, but I need some tips.

I am only 18 (yes I know its technically underage) but when I drink alcohol, I don't drink a lot. Maybe a beer or two at most..nothing hard. For some reason at first it tastes good and all but by the end of my first or second beer, my mouth is all alcohol tasting and when I drink the beer, i do not taste the amount of flavor i tasted at first and it seems like all i taste is alcohol. Is that normal? Why does that happen, is it supposed to happen? Does it happen to you? I mean I think I read on wikipedia that if you're hungover, then the thought of the taste of alcohol is repulsive. But i've never been hung over I dont drink that much so is this supposed to happen if you dont drink enough to be drunk/hungover? And i don't get repulsed, I just wouldnt like to drink anymore cause it tastes a little different and way more alcoholish. Thanks guys

I am poor. What is a good drink i can make without spending a lot of money. Right now my favorite is a White Russian. man that's tasty. plus you can get cheap vodka and a cheap rip off of Kahlua. What else is good?

Is there something wrong with merlot or do wine experts have something against merlot? Is it a bad grape, is it made from grape skins, is it cheap to make? Or did I just read too much into it and perhaps the character's wife liked merlot.
