Bud Light is the most popular beer because it is cheap and comes in large amounts. That is what will normally be found at a party.
Smirnoff is pretty popular for vodka and hard liquer in particular. is has a generic taste that can be mixed easily. Absolut is also very popular for vodka.
Yellowtail from Austraillia is very popular these days as well. It is a good mix of an affordable wine and a fine taste.
Those are all very popular for parties. For a very fine beer with good ingredients, go with Smauel Adams Boston Lager, or Harpoon Brewery Summer Ale.
