i love moscato too!
i also like pinot grigo
best thing to do is go to a good wine store and speak with the employees. alot of vendors do wine tastings at some stores.
we have a couple total wine stores and every weekend they do tastings... you can really learn what you like and don't like at them
also see if you have a winery close to do tastings at too

Well, some whites are a good start. Gewurztraminer and Reisling are a bit sweet. Gewurzt has a neat spice to it. Italian Gavi can have a green apple flavor and Viognier grapes make a nice pineapple to peachy aroma change as it warms... neither of these have left over sugar but can seem slightly sweet.
Reds like inexpensive merlots can be pretty fruity and soft. Italian Dolcetto is also nice.

If you like sweet and fruity wines, try a Riesling from either France or Germany, a wine from Sauternes (a French region known for sweet wine made from white Bordeaux grapes), or a port.
If you like dry, stick to pinot grigio from Italy, shiraz from Australia or France, some Californian cabernets can be very dry, or chianti from Italy.

I really like a Shiraz, it's a dry wine and varies a lot by brand. If you like sweet wines sangria is sweet and fruity. If you'd like to bridge between sweet and dry wines try a rose.

Riesling all the way. Start off with a German Kabinett Riesling as the Spatlese and Auslese wines are less dry, more sweet.

I really love Syrah wines... they're slightly sweet, but a little spicier and heavier. I think it's also called Shiraz if it's made Australian style.
