for each to take as a favor or for comsumption?
depends on how many glasses you think they will drink. i can polish off a bottle by myself.
maybe get 20-25 champ for toasts...
and 30-40 wine for drinking.
most adults will do 3 glasses each if they all drink wine.
if not everyone is a wine drinker you can probly get away with 20-25 bottles.
remember more is better when you aren't sure how much you need- better to have left overs than not enough!!

Honestly, you should overestimate than underestimate.

Here's my estimate.

Pre-dinner reception: you will need a mix of Champagne, white and red wine. For 100 people, estimate about 100-150 glasses to be served, hence about 10 bottles of champagne, 5 of white and 5 of red.

Dinner: each table will need at least 1 of red and 1 of white, but probably need 2 of each. Assuming you have a table of 10 person, you will have 10 tables, so at least 20 of red and 20 of white, just to be sure.

Toasting and dessert: Each champagne bottle can give you anywhere from 5 to 12 glasses, depending on the glass you are serving (for actual flute, 5-6 per glass; for cheap plastic cut, maybe up to 8-12). Plus you probably want to serve a nicer bottle for the bride and groom and their family. Conversatively, I would say 15 bottles of champagne.

Honestly, I would keep another 5 bottles of each just in case.

Total:
Champagne 30
White 30
Red 30

For toasting, 5-6 people per bottle or 15-20 bottles.
For dinner 3-4 people per bottle or 25-30 bottles.

1 bottle = 4 servings

Most people will have 2-4 drinks

so......about 70-80 bottles? Yikes, that sounds like a lot!

100/2=50
50/2=25 bottles
25/12=2 cases
I would get 3 cases just to be safe!

Estimate about 1 drink per person per hour...I found a great website with all you would need to know about how much and of what to buy.
