I am used to the mulled wine we have here in the UK but enjoyed this more as it did not seem to have many spices added.

My grandpa used to make wine in big barrels and he wouldn't cover them during fermentation. He'd let them ferment for two weeks and then age them in demi-johns. I make homemade wine by the bottle, so should I put a balloon over the bottles right away for fermentation or not? If it keeps the oxygen out, would I wait to put them on? I started a few bottles last night, and they're uncovered...should I just leave them? Thanks so much!

Can you smell Vodka on someone's breath? I was told that was the only alcohol that you can't smell on one's breath.

this doesnt make sense at all, how can they delete a question about poth, but they let teenages wright down recipes for tons of different kind of drinks to make with liquer, when liquer is 10 times worse for your health and society, and these tasty drinks mainly apply to the younger age? which is worse teenages getting a hold of liquer recipes that make it taste like the liquer isnt even it it, or getting a recipe to make some special brownies? i think people just think that weed is so bad for u, they see that question and make a complaint right away, but they dont seem to care about other things that are worse for u and its legal to a certain age group. if there gonna make a big deal about posting a question about an illegal drug, then why dont they care about drinking under age, when there both just mistermeaners?

My husband and I have decided we would like to start drinking wine occasionally. Not like socially or to get drunk. We're thinking maybe once or twice a week with dinner. We know that red wine goes with meat and white with fish and chicken. My question is, what's a good white wine to begin with? We don't want something that stinks of alcohol. We'd prefer something sweet and that has a nice taste to it. Same question for red wine.

I did it again; drank bourbon and got a raging hangover.
I enjoy social drinking, but I cannot tolerate nasty hangovers. Besides beer, what alcohol spirits do you recommend for avoiding hangovers? (aarrghh.. more aspirin and back to bed...,someone please take this icepick from me head....)

I'm studying Victorian wet-plate photography for a project and need a neutral grain alcohol for the developer, the collodion and the varnish.
I'm looking for anything above 95%, 190 proof for the process - and no, I won't be drinking or selling the stuff :-)

Thanks
