I believe almost every country makes some type of wine, japan makes sake (rice wine), china has plum wine, etc...
The largest or most well known grape wines areas are:
USA
France
Germany
Australia
Italy
Spain
Argentina
Greece
South Africa
And those countries that aren't known for wine all make some sort of fermented beverage, of course almost every country has some form of beer, mongols and russians ferment milk, in russia it is kefir, in US alot of people used to make a "beer" from persimons and locust pods. Alchohol is pretty much universal to all groups though it comes in many different forms.

I think just about every country makes wine. Whether its good wine or not thats a different story. I still haven't tried any Iraqi Zinfandel so I can't say one way or another.
