Paul Revere is on the Sam Adams label. Why Paul Revere and not Sam Adams, you ask. Put it this way... if I were a woman in colonial America and I had to knock revolutionary boots with one of these two men, it would certainy be Paul and not Sam... Sam was just one ugly looking dude.

It is Paul Revere because the family thought that if Sam's photo was on the label it would not sell because his looks were not the best!

The great patriot Sam Adams, he was instrumental in starting the revolution. He is on the bottle and the beer is named after him because the founder of Sam Adams is a descendant of his. Also some of the original sam adams flavors are his recipes from the 1700's
