How much does it cost to have a bottle of heineken at a bar? (in U.S.) Does it differ from state to state?

It is a carved man's head with a handle in the back - when you push the handle his mouth opens and another smaller head pops out. It seems unique and I thought it might be worth somehing...

I am hosting Thanksgiving for the first time, and am not sure what wines are best to serve. Any suggestions? It will be a traditional holiday meal-- turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes,...you get the pic.

Non-drinking couple soon to go on vacation, looking to experience being drunk, or close to it for the first time. We don't generally like the taste of alcohol, so a sweet(er) taste is important.

Just wondering if there's any great beers out there that I haven't tried yet. So, whats your favourite? If you can avoid the big brand names that'd be great (already tried most/all of them-e.g. Stella, Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg, Heineken etc etc).

I went out on friday night and (unusually for me) got trashed. Mostly it was tequila and I certainly paid for it the next day (and the day after to be exact).

However, I've never understood - why does booze make us forget stuff? the last thing I remember was talking to a friend who continuously told me she had no idea what I was sayng, and then BANG - next thing I know and it was the next morning, I was fully dressed in bed and my teeth felt like they were wearing wooly jumpers and my head was trying to kill me.

Can anyone help? Oh, and I have a quarter of a bottle of tequila left, does anyone want it? Because I dont...

i've been wanting to bartend for a long time and in my opinion it will be something i would love doing but im just afraid, what if i mess up? how will i be able to memorize all the drinks they want if there there are alot of people asking for many different drinks at the same time?? what if i forget again after i asked the second time....... i would like to hear your storys on how you felt and your expieriences when you first began bartending. thank you

i am skinny not anorexic, ( 75pounds) and 5 feet, if that effects the situation.

i am just scared that i am going to faint, like what should eat or not eat. i am not going to be drinking a lot just verrrrry little sincei have to go out to a party after that.

there will smirnoff and bacardi, jack daniels, hennessy, tattoo, stuff like that, like wht shld i drink the first time around?

i used to never drink at all - model citizen, straight A student, etc. and then i went to college and drank some (but not a lot). but then over the summer i got a dui and that has basically let me know that my life needs some adjustment. so i have put myself on abstinance from drinking until my dui is up (july of next year) b/c if i get caught with another dui i'm in big trouble and can kiss veterinary school goodbye.

however, since i have stopped drinking, i find that all i want to do is drink on the weekends, and since i'm at college the temptation is all aorund me. i turn 21 in december, but i'm really scared b/c i'm afraid i will give in to the temptation b/c i will legally be allowed to buy alcohol. i think about alcohol a lot and get a lot cravings for it. does this mean i'm an alcoholic?

I'm not a heavy drink...i hardly drink at all. (We're talking alcohol people). Well, i drink every now and then.This year in 2006 i have drank probably only about 4 times on different nights, with months in between. This past time i drank, it was at a friends party with close friends as we had a good time. This time however, was the first time I threw up. I could always hold my own but this night made me blow chunks. Most likely it was because i combined red wine, champange, vodka, tequila and a beer throughout the duration of the entire night. Well, after feel that way and waking up with a hangover (my first hangover ever)...i felt like i never wanted to drink again. I still feel that way. Anyways...

I was told that somehow your immune system strenghthens after this? Is there any truth to this? Somehow the person that told me made it seem that you can only get better after you drink alcohol.

Your thoughts please.

If the shelf life of a merlot is 8-10 years, then why do some people save wine for sometimes 30-50 years? Wont it go bad?
