Just wondering if there's any great beers out there that I haven't tried yet. So, whats your favourite? If you can avoid the big brand names that'd be great (already tried most/all of them-e.g. Stella, Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg, Heineken etc etc).

my favourite beer is a botlle of bavaria ice cold. delish!! and its not coz its E2.50 a bottle either. if its not available a bottle of corona goes down just as well.

labatts ice is making quite a comeback in ireland, havent tried it though. its popular these days in off licenses.
polish beers are flying , the most popular being okocim black, zywiec, tyskie and lech. a new beer coming in called koshaki or something is expevted togo really well, but generally these polish beers will blow the head of you.

grolsch goes pretty ok aswell. rolling rock is another flyer. thers a few czech beers that i cant spell or pronounce but bud pivo will do for short.

castlemaine xxxx from oz, brahma from brazil,

staropramen, warsteiner, from germany i think. paulaner.
we all stock these beers at our depot and many more. they all go well. but trust me on the bavaria, my personal favourite

If you are feeling adventurous ...

Try Leffe - an interesting Belgian Beer - i comes in at least two types (dark/light) and is pretty strong and tasty & available in some places in the UK (& off licences).

Then there is the Munich Oktoberfest, in September of course, where you can try the local Bavarian beers, including Weissbier (wheat beer) which is a bit weird but interesting.

There's Corona - best drunk with lime in somewhere hot.

Grolsh.

What about real ale? Loads of interesting flavours & styles from microbreweries and such.
.
The only problem with all this is the beer-belly ... and the solution is simple ... beer is calories and carbs ... so don't eat & drink at the same time ... and exercise more than you drink ... sorted.

My favorite, by far is Guiness. As for other types of beer...... Pilsner, has to be Kirin Ichiban, then Sam Adams. But the great thing about beer is that there are soooo many choices. As a tasting judge, I have samples thousands of beers from all over the world, and some of the best were "home brews".

Tusker. It's a Kenyan beer/lager. Available in UK by mail order from a firm www.surf4wine.co.uk or some shops in Oxford.

There's also a super one brewed in Brecon, South Wales, called Red Dragon, but I have to try two different ones before I remember which is my favourite! That's my excuse anyway.

All beers and lagers taste like pi*ss, that's because alcohol is the devil's urine.

The only exception to this is a pint of Old Phlegm Lovely beer from Club Sponkin in Wales at a meeting of the Welsh Institute of Wood.

Bass Ale, Watney's Red Barrel, and the old standby, Bud Light. But if eating mexican food, a Pacifico with hot sauce in the bottom of the glass with a lime.

I avoid the big brand crap anyway. I enjoy a proper German wheat beer (weissbier); it's not as easy to get a hold of in this country, but damn! It's good. It's worth going to Munich for that alone!

Don't know what everyone thinks, but I have two nominations.
San Miguel - if brewed in Hong Kong and EFES (Turkish), both are lagers. Can't stand luke warm Bitter and have never tried Mild.
