Im a guy and my friend is a girl whom are both going to hang out tonight drinking. (alcohol, duh.) I was wondering if anyone has recommendations of bottles that are good? I have Smirnoff Green Apple and Strawberry Vodka which she says is too strong and tastes nasty to her. She does however love Malibu Coconut Rum so I have to get that but we still need 2 more bottles. So what can I purchase? It needs to taste good while at the same time be an alcoholic drink. And not like wine coolers but bottles of vodka or stuff like that where we can take (tasty) shots. Thanks!

I've never really liked the taste of wine. Not even when I was in Italy--the veritable mothership of smashed grape. I'm more of a beer person, for reasons unknown. But, I'd like to grow more accustomed to wine. Any suggestions for a good starter wine? (Not too expensive, could be a specific label, or generic variety, would all be useful).

I work with several whisky companies, so i guess i know the answer. But what is your perception of a blended malt and how would you rate it?

Thanks.

I'm a big microbrew fan especially the India Pale Ales. Recently I took a trip to England and tried a number of IPA's there. Not one measured up to the microbrew IPA's I've had in the states. They were not as bitter and crisp. What do other IPA beer fans think?

No time to chill so I'll need to use ice. I can put the ice in a ziplock bag so that it doesn't dilute the Sangria recipe.

I might be going to the Netherlands for a year, and let's just say I'm "under age". What's the drinking age and is it very strict?

This is going to sound stupid, but i'm a little frightened to start drinking because I really, REALLY don't like feeling like i can't control my body. I'm a small woman so I know it will affect me stronger than it would to most people. What does it feel like? Will it help me relax?
