We are going camping this weekend and I am looking for breakfast ideas. We want something warm and hearty but something that does not dirty a lot of dishes or take a lot of time to prepare. Is there anything we can make the day before and reheat the next day. We are not looking for yogurt or cereal.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I am an admi. assistant for a manufacturing company. My boss has a group of high school students coming in for a meeting and needs me to pick up some snacks. We are not looking for anything extravagant, just something quick they can munch as a polite gesture. Any one have any suggestions?

I have a meat thermometer and they've been marinating in cooking wine and some spices for about an hour. Thanks for your input.

Ok so I'm wanting to know if I can substitue dried basil for fresh basil in this recipe and if yes, how much of the dried basil should I use?
Here's the recipe:
Chicken Sausage with Peppers & Basil
Heat 1 TBLSP olive oil in a skillet over med. heat. Add 1 clove minced garlic and 1/2 yellow onion minced and cook until translucent. Remove sausage (1 pound sweet or hot Italian chicken sausage) from casing and cut into 1 inch chunks. Add to pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until just beginning to brown. Transfer to Crockpot clow cooker with slotted spoon skimming off some of the fat. Add 1 can (28 ounces) whole tomatoes drained and seeded, 1/2 red bell pepper, 1/2 yellow bell pepper and 1/2 orange bell pepper all julienned into 1/2 inch slices, 3/4 cup fresh basil, red pepper flakes to taste and salt and black pepper to taste to the Crockpot slow cooker. Stir to blend. Cover and cook on High for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until peppers have softened. Adjust seasonings to taste.
That's it

I am sure the nice people in the beverages section have some creative ideas and thing I have never heard of. We already have a family memeber named Brandy and I am considering Stoli. But if you have something else short and sweet let me know! Thanks and Cheers!

Lately my 1 year old has been wanting to snack more than eat meals, and my 3 year old finally has more of an appetite, so she also wants to snack more. For the time being I've been using processed (with little sweetener) like crackers, and raisins and fruits, but my oldest is getting bored. Anyone have some sites or ideas to help my little ones get less processed, more nutricious (maybe a little extra protien) snacks?

I'm not worried about actual meals as my oldest eats those well enough.

My grandma died a month ago and my grandpa is so depressed. He lived alone in his house with his little dog and keeps saying he wants to die. I've been staying with him since my grandma died and cook for him and keep him company, but I'm leaving next month and don't know what to do with him. Whenever I am away for even a day, his depression gets worse, but I can't be with him constantly, and I feel really bad.

This is the biggest personal conflict I have. I'm a meat eater. I was a vegetarian for 1.5 years. I jokingly call it the worst year and a half of my life. I LOVE meat, specifically chickens, cows, and pigs. I find vegetarian options very boring or they're usually mushroom based - my least favorite food. I find meat to be satisfying in every way but one... and that is that I believe that humans should be morally concious and compassionate enough to choose to be vegetarians. Factory farming is awful, animals have feelings, and I'm smart enough to know what the right choice is. Where is my willpower? I challenge you to throw all the vegetarian/vegan propaganda that will gross me out and change my diet my way. I NEED to be grossed out. If you could actually make me puke, that would be awesome. If I can't get grossed out about this, I think I'll be a meat eater for the rest of my life, struggling in and out of half-assed vegetarianism phases.

I once saw a cooking tv show where they simulated the taste of white wine using grape juice and some other stuff. Unfortunately, i cant find the recipe for it. I was hoping someone here knows how to make alcohol-free white wine, to make my cooking healthy and tasty even for kids.

I am thinking of bartending once a week on the weekend. I am thinking of a club scene but I do not have any experience in bartending. How would I go about getting my first job? What are the most common drinks that I should know by heart?

What are the requirements to become a part time bartender.

I am 24 yrs old, not ugly, friendly and energetic. In to make good cash one night a week to pay bills but want to have fun while doing it.
