Singles & Dating - 6 January 2007

How long does it take before you know for sure a guy is not going to have feelings for you and want you to be his girlfriend? We have been sleeping together for 2 months. There are sparks like crazy and it seems like his actions say he is falling in love with me. He seems to be treating me better and trying hard to please me and wanting me to be with him a lot. I'm falling in love with him too so I'm afraid to continue much longer if he doesn't love me and I'm afraid to ask him how he feels. Do you think I should read his actions that he is falling in love? Is two months long enough for him to have given me a commitment? What should I do??

im 19 years old and i have a situation

im not really nervous around girls, but i never know how to keep a conversation going or how to start a conversation. as a result, i am nervous to hang out with a girl by myself. im usually hanging out with girls when there is a big group, which makes it much easier because the focus isn't on you...idk whats wrong with me..any advice as to what i can do to overcome my fear of hanging out with a girl, how can i keep a conversation flowing

ps- in regards to conversation, can i keep a conversation going by talking about anything related to the topic we are talking about even if its a little off subject, or is that a good idea?

I am in love with one of my closest male friends, whom I have been very good friends with for a couple of years now. We have shared so much, and have been through the depths of hearthache and joy alonside one another. However, it wasn't until a year ago when I suddenly realized that I was very much in love with him.
The situation is complicated by the fact that we share an apartment together, so there is not a moment where I can escape the feelings that I have, and often I find myself in tears and crazy fits of anger. It also doesn't help that he is in infatuated with my best girl-friend and constantly asks me for advice on the situation.
Sometimes I feel as though he is using me to get to her, despite our substantially long friendship, which I hope is built on some integrity.
I am certain that he will never feel the same way about me, and this eats away at me everyday.
I am at a complete loss, and am wondering what to do next, if anything at all.

A girl was with me for 2 1/2 years and got really involved in my life..after that she started ignoring me because she joined a co-education college..I cried so much because i loved her and she rejected my love saying that i never understand her..I feel vey upset everyday and am living a very tough life..she has hurted my feelings to great extents..but i still miss the old times and hurt myself more..she doesnt care about how i am now..the worse thing is she keeps roaming with her friends (mostly guys) right in front of my eyes and I don know wat to do abt it..I have lost my confidence totally..I want to be strong now..I study in the same college as she does and I am very scared whenever I see her car or something cus she is always with a guy..I feel very depressed..Life just does not seem to be worth living but I want to live for my parents.. I am 20 now..Its been 6 months since Im sufferin alone..how long will i suffer more..?? God just doesn seem to care about me..Please help me..

yea so i just turned 19, freshman in college....as of now i have never had a girlfriend or kissed a girl...in high school i used to be really shy and nervous around girls, but now im alot better..i work with girls almost everyday so im getting used to it...

however i still can't seem to hookup with anybody...i know this one girl at work wants to hookup but im not really attracted to her at all

im not waiting for someone special, but i am becoming very picky

is there something wrong with me or does it seem like im doing this by personal choice?

I have noticed that a lot of not so great looking guys have the audacity to be picky when they scarcley look human. I heard one guy commenting on how he doesn't want an overweight chick or one with a flat chest etc etc. Then I turned around to look at him and he looked like friggin' igor or somethin'. I'm not trying to be mean but I just want to know why the double standard? Why can guys look like crap but the girl has to be a supermodel?

sometimes when I dress up and go to the mall and I pass by a group of guys, they start laughing. I don't even show cleavage or dress trashy. I'm always covered up. I also dont dress gothic like or wear my hair in a funny hairstyle or wear alot of makeup. so, I"m thinking they have no reason to laugh.

The girl I had sort of been dating for like 2 months just called and left me a message asking me to call her. She was kind of ignoring me for pretty much the entire Christmas break and a little before that, so I sent her a txt message saying that if she didn't want to be with me it would be ok, but that I wished she would tell me instead of ignoring my calls. When I met her she already had a bf so we kept our distance. Gradually, she told me that they constantly argued and that she could see no future with him. We allowed our feelings to develop and we both liked each other.
I told her she must choose one of us and she chose me initially, but when her bf found out there was another guy, he treated her better and "changed". She decided to stay with him.

We have not slept together but my feelings for her are getting too strong. She says she still likes me more, but needs a good reason to break up with him. She asked me to give her one month to decide.

I'm really falling for her and each day is pain, knowing she is with her bf, even though I knew he was first.

Should I wait or move on?

There is this girl I've been sleeping with. She was from my past and contacted me out of the blue and we started sleeping together right away. Then she wants to become my girlfriend but I didn't want her to so she got mad, but then she agreed to just hanging out with me and still sleeping together like we were.
