Well I wouldnt buy her anything but a card saying how very much you are into her. You could buy her a card and send her a dozen of her favorite flowers. You could not buy her any thing at all and it would more than likely mean as much to her if you wrote her a poem....
I guess it depends on what kind of girl she is... Is she real materialistic? If buying her things will make her happy then man have you got a long road ahead of ya cuz once you start buyin her stuff she will keep expecting you to.
SO I say write your feelings down on paper or if you have a hard time finding the words then you need to make a trip to hallmark or wal mart and pick aout a romantic card that has just the words in it that describes the way you feel for her.

Depends on how serious, but flowers are always a nice gesture. Most women LOVE flowers. A bouquet that is not all roses, but includes a few roses would be really nice if you're just beginning to get really close. Otherwise, if you think you're ready and she's ready, and you really believe that you're close enough, go all out and get her roses. Buying her clothes as gifts comes later on down the road, after you've been together a couple years at least. I wont speak for all women on any of these, but I'll admit, the thing I myself like receiving the least is candy. But if it's going to be candy, it should be the good stuff, brands such as Russell Stover (chocolate covered cherries! yum!) or even Godiva chocolates.

well, it really depends on the girl. I love buying my girl things because she doesn't expect me too, i don't have too, which is what makes me want to. If I had to buy her gifts for her to be happy I wouldn't be with her, and i wouldn't want to buy her anything because it wouldn't mean anything to her, it would be expected of me. But since she doesn't expect that from me, and just wants to be with me, it means more to her when i do buy her something, personally i like to by her things that mean something to her and us rather than just anything, for example she likes dancing so i'd buy her something that has to do with dancing, or for our first Christmas together i got her an ornament shaped like a heart with our names on it that says "First Christmas". Also it depends how serious you two are getting. If you two haven't been together that long buying her something really expensive might not be the best thing to do, It might freak her out and make her think that you think things are more serious than she does.

Of course, flowers and/or jewerly is perfect for a girl. That's what I'd expect if I were going out with a guy and we were really getting serious

If you both are comfortable physically, get her good sexy lingerie. My friends were really thrilled after seeing them. They like being sexy for person they want to freak out with.
And needless to say, they love rings (more liked if with incorporated diamond).
Of all, you need to understand her dude! They always express what they always want. You just need to catch right point.

why not, cooky fun prezies are always nice, you can never go wrong with chocolate and maybe instead of buying her something take her out for a sunset dinner/picnic
better then anything you could ever buy her.
