Singles & Dating - 12 December 2006

I've been talking with this girl I like for a while now, but we seem to get stuck in our conversations a lot. Just a lot of "Yeah..." and "So..." if you know what I mean. It's that awkward silent moment that bothers me. It's almost as if we've run out of things to say.

Is this normal?
Is there any way around this?
How can I avoid it?

yup,i waz in a relationship with a gal for 2 yrs.now she saz dat"she never loved me,she tried 2 lov me".so,she doznt want 2 continue it further bcoz she wants som1 who has the qualities that she xpects.but she insists 2 continue frndship.wud it b right 2 continue frndship or just carry on with life?plz answer as i"m quite perplexed.

I walked all throughout the mall looking for my girl a gift. She is too sweet for me to look the other way when she sais she needs a new way of doing things. Me and my gal hang out in the hot tub, the club, and I give her a deep rub massage. I have noticed that fingernails grow about twice as long as toenails. She paints her toenails and pays people to paint them and to style her hair and to give her clothes. I just began shopping online. I saw severral things I liked. I will someday buy stuff online. Someday we all will. Think about it. Someday we all will be online shopping together. WE will be sending money through wires and getting clothes and hair brushes and combs and boxes through those same lines.

Guys, when you stare at a girl when walking pass her, do you think she's pretty?

What are the reasons why a guy might contantly look at a girl, like being able to pick herout of a crowd, and make eye contact with her...then when the girl looks at him, he doesn't look away?
When you walk pass her and stare at her, what would be the main reason? What if the girl was an acquantance, a total stranger, or a person you see once in a while around school? (Boogers don't count) I don't think he's staring at me cause of my looks because I don't think I'm pretty at all. We made eye contact three times before. The first and second time, he looked at me first, and the third time, I looked at him, looked at me for one second, then looked away. Why do you think he looked away this time?

Guys are any of you or do you know any guys who just put your parents before anyone and anything else? At work for the last few weeks, theres been this joke going round that me and this girl are boyfriend/girlfriend.

I have no idea how it started, but on sunday at a work party, some of the older ladies were trying to hook this girl up with one of the bosses and she said no, and that she was my girl. (but it had started before that)

Does anyone think she might be interested in me and thats whats started it all up? or it was just some comment or action thats being carried on as a joke.

I never thought of dating her before this, but suddenly i cant seem to stop thinking about her, and im worried if i did make a move, i would be made a fool of because it was only a joke or something.

I've known this guy for about 4 months but we really never talked. We were always flirting together and there was a rumor going around that I liked him. So, about 1 week ago his friend asked me if I liked him and I said yes even though I don't. And that same friend told him to ask me out because apparantly he liked me. My friends and now I have noticed that when I'm talking to a girl that I'm interested in or I'm trying to impress, my voice gets a little higher and I kinda talk g.a.y. Like from a guys standpoint. You know, talking more sweetly and innocently. Ok, no one laugh, I looked at some of my moms romance films and in a lot of them when a guy talks to the girl he's in love with he does the same thing. There is this guy, nice (i guess), but sometimes I wonder about his sanity (will he grow up to be a cerial killer or live in his mother's basement sticking pins in voodoo dolls). He asked me to homecoming and I made some lame excuss of, "oh, well, I acually decided a long time ago that I was going stag this year, SORRY" and then he stood behind me, facing my back, the whole entire time- almost followed me into the bathroom once too. I cannot speak for women who post personal ads because I don't read those. I know that there are unhonest women posting personal ads as well.

I'm very curious as to: why most men aren't honest in their personal ads? Why do they post things like: 'Freak wanted' in the m4w section rather than the casual encounters section? Why not set up a profile on relevant sites like AdultFriendFinder; or go to a bar? Isn't the latter option cheaper and less time-consuming?
What about the men whose IDs are: hot14u69, etc.? Again, why not post in the casuals section?

Why do men, who clearly are NOT seeking a potential relationship, answer ads posted by women who state that they want a honest relationship?

Why do some men say in their ads that they are 'very busy'/'too busy to date' but post an ad anyway? Why not get one's life together and then get in the dating pool once the dust has settled?

Will honesty make it easier for ad posters to find what they want?
