How can you tell when she really means what she is saying or is just joking around?

At work for the last few weeks, theres been this joke going round that me and this girl are boyfriend/girlfriend.

I have no idea how it started, but on sunday at a work party, some of the older ladies were trying to hook this girl up with one of the bosses and she said no, and that she was my girl. (but it had started before that)

Does anyone think she might be interested in me and thats whats started it all up? or it was just some comment or action thats being carried on as a joke.

I never thought of dating her before this, but suddenly i cant seem to stop thinking about her, and im worried if i did make a move, i would be made a fool of because it was only a joke or something.

She is definitely flirting with you if she said it in your hearing. If you want to get to know her you need to do it in a way that doesn't make work hell if it doesn't work out. You need to be playful until the truth surfaces without sticking your neck out there. Be a little mysterious and flirty yourself without being too available to her. If she initiates contact some of the time chances are she likes you but let it build naturally and don't say anything that puts her on the spot or she will back away if she is not quite ready.
