Singles & Dating - 29 November 2006

Hi. Well, there's this guy who I REALLY like. He's cute, smart, and funny. The problem is, he's 15 and I'm only 12! He's also my brother's friend. I've been so sad because I know in reality it will probably never work out between us, but in the back of my mind I still kinda have some hope. I realize I'm too young to date now, but I REALLY want it to work out in a few years if he's not too old for me. We're both Christians, and we have Christian families. I have been praying to God about it a lot, but so far He hasn't answered yet. I try not to think about this guy because it just makes me sad, but I really like him. And also, my brother's not the kind of person that I could ask about this guy; he's more the quiet, shy type and he probably wouldn't answer me. He doesn't even know I like him. I've liked him for a few months now, but I'm not about to tell him. I've had other crushes before, but this seems different. I'm SO sad, what should I do? :(

Well I met this guy in 6thgrade, and we disliked each other immediately. He either made fun of me, or ignored me. let's just call him Cole. In 8thgrade, we NEVER talked, but whenever I dropped something, he'd always pick my object up. When I hand him something, he'd always say thank you. Once, I picked a pen up for him (cause I sat next to him in class), and he said thank you and then we had 10 second intense eye contact. We also also had moments where we'd look straight into each other's eyes. He even had a girlfriend, but they broke up. We are now freshmen, and we still don't talk. Last month, I was walking and he and his friend walked passed me. I'm good friends with his friend so we hugged, and then I actually hugged Cole, but he didn't hug back and pulled away. But everytime we walk pass each other in the halls, he'd either stare at me, or pretend I'm not there. Today, I was eating lunch and talking to a friend, and I saw at the corner of my eye that Cole was staring me again. ugh

yesterday i caught my girlfriend hugging another guy, one of those chain hugs where you don't break for like 10 minutes. But when i talked to her about it, she said it was because she was comforting the boy (who was supposedly just her friend) becuz he just got broken up with. what should i do? i know i still like her and if i broke up with her, it would hurt me. i don't want an unloyal gf... but i dont want to leave her.

I know others ask this69, so sorry. My boyfriend and I have been together almost four years. Gifts I have given him in the past include a paintball gun, subwoofers, skateboard, promise ring, and other random things. He is into mechanics, but he doesnt want anything. He doesn't need any tools. I don't know what to get him that will show that I care. The problem is I feel bad when I get him something crappy becuase he always has the best gifts for me. I think a boy might like me. I am a boy as well, so any feelings he has would be hidden, which makes it all the harder to tell. I really like him, so I can't judge if he likes me very well. He doesn't really talk to me, as we are in only two of the same classes, and he isn't my friend.
However, I have noticed him staring at me, and he always pays attention when I speak to him, and I get full eye contact (even when I but into a conversation). This is MUCH more attention than last year. He used to ignore me. Also, in art class, he moved where he sat, from across the table to right next to me, and whenever our legs or arms touched, He NEVER moved away from me.
Finally, he also seems to poke fun at me a lot, but not in a mean-spirited way. Is this his desperate attempt to get my attention, or is he just annoying me for the fun of it? Am I looking too deeply into this? Am I crazy? Help! Please.

There is this guy Sam at my high school and I really like him ALOT. I've had the biggest crush on him since the beginning of the year and I made my move this month, asking him out. he turned me down because he didn't know s**t about me, but we've been hanging out alot in Band, Chiors, and Theatre. Not to mention we always talk in the computer lab after school or we run our track or somthing together. When we first became friends, he always gave me quick, awkward hugs, but now he hoolds me closer and longer than any other of his friend-girls and i think yesterday he kissed the top of my head (because he's like a whole head taller than me!). My grandpa found out I am dating a woman of filipino descent and went into a rage about Pearl Harbor (he is old and associates all Asians with those whom he fought is WWII).
