What's wrong with this guy!?

Question

Well I met this guy in 6thgrade, and we disliked each other immediately. He either made fun of me, or ignored me. let's just call him Cole. In 8thgrade, we NEVER talked, but whenever I dropped something, he'd always pick my object up. When I hand him something, he'd always say thank you. Once, I picked a pen up for him (cause I sat next to him in class), and he said thank you and then we had 10 second intense eye contact. We also also had moments where we'd look straight into each other's eyes. He even had a girlfriend, but they broke up. We are now freshmen, and we still don't talk. Last month, I was walking and he and his friend walked passed me. I'm good friends with his friend so we hugged, and then I actually hugged Cole, but he didn't hug back and pulled away. But everytime we walk pass each other in the halls, he'd either stare at me, or pretend I'm not there. Today, I was eating lunch and talking to a friend, and I saw at the corner of my eye that Cole was staring me again. ugh

It sounds like he likes you; but he is too shy to do anything about it. You just might have to make the first move. Start with something easy simple questions, or simple topics, so he can answer it and not stutter around. If he got embarrassed, he may not want to talk to you again.....Just go from there and see what happens next.

Very interesting. I think there is something there on his part. He could be being careful cause he doesnt know how you will react. You gave him a hug and it more then likely took him by surprise. I say try and have a get together or something. Invite his friend that you are also friends with, this guy (have the mutual friend help get him there) and some of your other friends as well. At the get together you can approach him and try to start a conversatiion and see how it goes.

That is actually really hard to tell. But if you are feeling very uncomfortable you should really ask him what he wants. If he actually likes you why won't you just go out with him (I mean if you like him) and if you don't like him tell him. You have to get things straight. But if you don't get things straight you will probably be bothered by it. I hope things will turn out the way you want it to be.

I may be wrong, but my first impression was that of "Maybe he's intimidated by her somehow." Are you really good looking and he maybe not so much? Maybe he thinks you're way out of his leage! He's polite because he likes you but freezes up when you get too close cause he doesn't know how to react to you. Hhmmmm

Oo la la! He's playing the loving enemy thing. When people like other people, they usually ignore them, to make it less suspicious. Talk to him, but don't get on his nerves. He's probably on the bridge of liking and disliking you. Im a freshman too so yah. It's that wierd silence thing you get. If he doesn't like you, then he's mocking you, but chances of that r 10000000000 to .0000000001. Look at him back, but only like you're hinting something.

He's got a crush on you. Give him a few years, he'll mature a little bit and ask you out. In the meantime go on with your life, have fun and when you do see him be pleasant!

are you dating too? maybe that will make him kinda jealous if he really is paying that much attention to you but won't make a move....I look at it this way-if it's meant to be it will be--OR you can just find your way into one of his conversations to break the ice, and then you can find out sooner rather than later whether anything will work out. if it does great!! if it doesn't at least you didn't waste more years good luck

I don't know whether he likes you or not but it could be the other way around.. maybe he thinks you like him? Maybe you do? It doesn't sound to me like he wants to go out with you though.
