Singles & Dating - 21 November 2006

Hello everyone. I am a complete fool. I broke up with my girlfriend of 13 months a month ago for a new girl. And everything seemed to be fine. But once I started to get to know this new girl, I realized that I am still in love with my ex. I really like this new girl and she is great, but she just doesnt make me as happy as my ex girlfriend did.

I am supposed to talk to my ex tonight and catch up, but last night I bawled my eyes out cause I missed her so much.

What should I do? Am I just mourning the loss of our relationship? Because I feel like I want to marry my ex. I think its true love but I just need advice. Please help.

I was in a friends with benefits relationship with a colleague at work and I ended up having feelings for her which weren't returned. She told me she was in love with someone who has a girlfriend and is living with her for 3 years. She was also sleeping with other men, and I told the unavailable man this so that he would drop her and leave her to find someone more suitable. Since then you hasn't talked to me or returned my e-mails.

The pain inside hurts so much, I keep on crying its been 3 months. I keep on wanting to contact her again and again. I can't be bothered with work, somedays I think I couldn't give a damn if they sacked me or not. My study is becoming affected. I don't know what is happening to me. Any advice? I'm in so much pain, I have never felt like this before.

My friends think im stupid as she is 11 years older, they think she is ugly and she has 3 kids and is bipolar but that just doesn't matter to me I love her all the same.

I want different womens prespective on this. I'm tired of hearing the same, fickle answers. "A man who can support me... " blah, blah, blah. I want a variety of what women really, truely want from men... whether its merely a fantasy or actually substancial. I'd prefer a more rational/specific answer, of course. Ladies - how do you feel when men stare at your body (breasts, butt, legs ect)? Does it bother you? Does it make you uncomfortable? Do you ever say anything to the men who stare at you?

And, do you understand WHY men stare? Do you ever think it's OK for a man to stare at a woman's figure? Do you think it's OK for a man to stare at a woman's body if she's wearing a low cut top, short skirt or very tight pants?

The choice of beer is very important, as I will drink it all day and watch football. I do not drink garbage beer, such as Coors, Bud, Miller, or any other watered-down US crap. Right now I'm kinda feeling one of the following:

1. Brooklyn Lager
2. McSorleys
3. Newcastle Brown
4. Dos Equis amber
5. Sam Adams Winter Lager (if its out yet)

Keep in mind the fact that I will have a cooler right next to the couch to keep my beer ice cold, and I have my special glass Guiness mug. Also, my 20 month old is now trained to grab me a beer upon request. She cannot use an opener yet, but that won;t be an issue.
What say you?

After a relatively good thing a woman and i had goin, i get shut out of her life with no real explanation, except she has family probs. I did not do or say anything to upset her, i did not crowd her or even tell her i loved her, cause i didnt want to go too quick in terms of a relationship, neither did she. A few months into it she says she dont want me with other girls an i was cool with that, i was loving her vibe an happy with it. I told her a lot which is something i dont do to many people at all and although i have a lot of other things i do that keep me busy i still think about her a lot. today was my birthday and she called me, and i missed her. i still get msgs from her sometimes too. It was only a week ago this bust up happened. She jus said she wasnt ready for a relationship which is wrong cause a lot of things said suggested otherwise. ive had plenty of girls over the past week tell me im hot an i couldve gotten some but i feel so low for even thinkin i got something there

alright this boy is in a 20 min class with me, and he sits next to me, and everyday he asks for a pencil and i usally give him one. but one day i asked him why he allways asks me for one and he said it was a "bond" we had and that everyday for the rest of the year he would and in high skool and in college and if we were neighbors. and he will also do funny things in class to annoy me. is he flirting?

Ok, I have been in a serious relationship, going to be two years now. Everything is different than before?
I have tried to break up with him before but had no success. He wants to tell me what do, like what to wear, when to eat, he's called me names before. I can't take it anymore. And I say to myself thats it, I am going to leave him but it's very hard. Oh we also live together and guess where? with his parents, and that is part of the issue. He plans on living there for a long time. But I want my own place. I actually got this apartment waiting for me, I ve been planning on moving but it's hard cause he won't let me go. I'm a very shy person, and I have a HUGE crush on this girl at my school, she goes to my church youth group and is in my choir. I don't think I could muster up enough courage to just tell her but I'm not sure she likes me but I do want to know. Would it be weird if I gave her a note telling her I had a crush on her and that why I wrote the note is because I'm a shy person? If you have anymore suggestions that would be great!

Well, ONE (out of 10) girls caught me with another.. and she went crazy! I mean crazy, like psycho crazy! I finally got some sleep but you know what happens when you think too much *rolls eyes*, I tried these dating sites, and chat rooms is where I met most of these women. Since 1996 I met about 7-8 women off the rooms (even going back to the old PowWow Chat), and all seem to have dealt me the same card. I still keep the nice guy thing, and Im honest through the whole date and they just screw me over in the end.

They want honesty, communication, trust, and respect, and I give it. But when you tell them about your life they date me once and not again. I dont get it. I seen some of the responses on the 1st part of this question. But I just wish someone told me what Im doing wrong.

Does being the nice guy pay off? or I have to succumb to being a jerk?
