How much leniency does it require to make a relationship successfully work? If you had a partner, and they did things/do things that you as a person do not believe in and you think are wrong and unacceptable, are you supposed to continue to be with that person irregardless of how you perceive their habits?

I'm not talking necessarily outlooks on life or religion. I'm talking behavioral issues, say if they've had sex before or with a lot of people or do drugs or something along those lines.

How much would you forgive to be with a person you really liked? Do you even consider it to be an issue of forgiveness at all? We're not supposed to be judgemental of the people we're with but if they do something you don't like but they don't see it as wrong can you really expect the relationship to last?

well my girl cheated on me about 2 months into my deployment. i'm head over heels crazy about her. but she did warn me , that after she had gotten out of a long relationship, that she might want to enjoy the single life. i understood that. right before i left though, she had told me she loved me, and that she could definately see us gettin married. this girl is awesome. but she cheated on me. and i'm definately a one woman man. should i just tell her i'm all set, and what you did is not respectful? or should i just pretend that she was single? or maybe i could just play it all off, and make sure i'm at least gettin laid (guaranteed) when i go home? she is extremely upset, and sorry about what she did. and she says she'll make it up to me. butt, she really hasn't yet. sooo, what do you people think?

He had been chatting with L.P. when I walked up. He told her he better go because he had talked to her long enough and couldn't talk to her longer that he talked to me. That's when he busted out and said I was his girl. And his baby. Then he reached for my hand.
Funny thing is, he never told me I was his girl UNTIL then!!!! What am I working with here?

I was i love with a girl from my office for almost a year.. and she lead me on.. but one day she told me her father wanted her to marry a family friend. She said she did feel a thing for him, but he was her very good friend.. and she never broke up with me. But later i found that she was actually having an affair with the guy.... she even had the bugger's pics in her phone... and was quite possibly staying the nights with him. i dont even think her father knows about the guy. I feel cheated.. and used. I dont particularly want to take revenge, as i feel i am better human being than her. But she works with me, and the very sight of her makes me angry these days.. i wish she quits this job and goes away so i dont have to see here everyday... can i do something so that this happens? And no i WILL NOT have a talk with her...

I've been with my girlfriend for over a year now, and we have hit some walls on the way, but we always find a way around them together. The matter is that I am still the same old guy that has worried about her leaving me since the beginning. I am too controlling, and needy sometimes and I don't want her to live through that anymore, and I don't want to live like that either. I have promised plenty of times that I would change my ways, but I come up short every time. I know that if I change she will never go anywhere, and I know she doesn't believe that I will change this time for us. I know deep down that this is the last chance that I have, and I will make it happen here and now. All we can do is wait and see what happens, and this time I won't mess up. I want to change not only for her, but for us and me, it's time for me to stop being afraid of living my life. I know that she will be there forever because I have found the girl of my dreams in her. I love her! Do you believe me?

Ladies, its the twenty first century. You have made great strides in equality in last years, but continue to insist on men making the first move.

I believe it is time to dispense with this archaic dating tradition. There is no reason a women who is interested in a man should make both parties suffer because the man is too shy or nice to make the first move. It creates lazy women who expect men to walk up to them and show their hands first without any risk of rejection on their part.

Fellow men, rise up and defend your right to be courted!

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard-
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind)-
I asked Him to send you treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And my friendship to share your way!
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small-
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all!

If a reasonably attractive female came up to me and asked me for sex, I'd say yes. If I did that, I'd be reported to the police. Why? Why are females so strange and different from us? Female, you are a wierd animal.

this'll be quick simple, and to the point, but i need an answer. I've fallen in love, everyone says she loves me too, not too sure, but i'm leaning to that she likes me, even a little, but, thing is, she's dating someone, and this guy's an ***, doesn't treat her like the Goddess she is, but, if I hurt him, I hurt her, and I can't bear to do that. what the hell should I do about all this?

I was out at a very nice bar last night, (in the UK) I'm in my 30's and I enjoyed a few glasses of wine with my friends..... when leaving the bar, I was shocked and ashamed to see so many young girls/women that couldn't stand up let alone walk straight as they were so drunk.... this seems to be the norm now... why do they do this? Several were on the street with their legs in the air showing today's washing.... do men find this attractive.... if so, then I should really be drinking a lot more!!!!!!!!

I chose to abstain a year and a half ago as a symbol of my commitment to the Lord. My best-friend is not born-again but I think he wants to be a couple. We used to be together before I was born-again and we were intimate back then. Another time-Another place. I want to abstain until I'm married but I know he can't handle that. I honestly can't see this working under these circumstances. I really don't think it's possible. I plan to let him know what I think if he approaches me. But I'm afraid that telling him we can't be together may ruin our friendship. We have a great history together and it could work. But I won't fornicate. Period. What's your opinion?
