If you feel the guy is no longer himself this would be a certain indication of some change on the relationship, Now, if he is becoming more carious about you, asking to hang out, trying to get other guys away from you, this would be true love. However, some boys don't have any difference between friendship and sexual relationship, this could stand for that and vice versa. With those guys you'll never know what's the relation is about to.
What I can suggest to do is a proper silent investigation about his past and you can start with him. don't make direct questions
you just talk about a girl you know who fell in love with a friend try to read his eyes. One big and last thing you can do is to see if his eyes are chasing other girls while he's with you? if yes, he's just a friend.

If he didn't "LIKE" you, then he wouldn't be friends with you. Now if you're talking about being interested in you as a girl friend or whatever, he'll usualy look at you a little longer, if he's a puss, he'll just shy away and avoid eye contact. <---stay away from those btw no woman likes a wuss. Anyways, just hold off a bit and if he's any kind of man, then he'll go after what he's interested in.

He likes you if...
~he smiles everytime you tlak to him or even look at him
~he tries to get closee to you but moves away becasue he gets scared
~calls you enough to let you know hes there for you
~he tries to hard
~he tries to make it look like hes more of a friend then just another guy...
~he lets you know he remebered something you told him awhile ago.
~he listen to you when you ask he to listen and he doesnt give you answers or interrupt he just does what you asked him to do and listens....

he tends to talk to u alot more than any other friend, look at u more, do more things to get near u, u know stuff like that. or he drops hints that he does.
