ok im 15 and i live in nc. i have this one really good friend and her name is adriane and and she is beautiful and has it all. we have been the best of friends for 3 years and hang out almost every week and talk on the phone and everything that best friends do. many people say that we should go out and all and whenever were together people think we r going out but were not and thats the problem. i am always there for her and buy her gifts and everyhting and ive brought up the subject about going out and she says that if we were to go out and break up then she wouldnt have me as a best friend any more and if we were as great friends we would deff. go out and all. ive tried telling her that we could be friends after a break up but she says it would never be the same... ive asked her out 2 times and she keeps saying this and i am like obsessed over her and almost every nite i have dreams about what it would be like if we were a couple! please help i really want to go out with her & i cant

I have been with my close in friend in an on and off relationship for 2 years now, the problem is everytime we end up in the same place together, either we dont get to spend time together or one of us moves. Love is obvious within our relationship, but i cant help but feeling like someone higher than the two of us is keeping us apart for a reason. I dont want to let go of what we have for fear that he is the one meant for me, but i also dont want to hold on to something that will never be. Potentially missing out on the one who is for me. I'm not religious or anything but I don't take sex as lightly as some people do my age (early twenties) and I would only sleep with someone I loved which to me doesn't happen in 1 or 2 dates (or 10 dates even) - But I think people's casual attitude to sex these days is ruining the romance and sacredness of a potential relationship - I don't want to be with someone who has slept with 10 people casually before falling for me.

I've heard so many people saying "Ah but you have to try it with lots of people to see what you like" - But I think that's complete poppycock as sex is meant to be about how you feel about one another and making a connection on a deeply intimate level rather than just removing clothes and attaining orgasm in 5 minutes of cold pleasure - Well I think so anyway - Am I just old fashioned - Are we meant loosen up and sleep with 40 people we think are cute before settling down with someone we GENUINELY like?

i am having a continuous arguement with my ex about what the term "going on a break" and "breaking up" mean. he told me that we should go on break, but didn't understand what that meant. about a week later, i told him that i was breaking up with him.
