yes you can ask him out but plz remember there are certain things that could affect your relationship such as you met on holiday not under normal circumstances.how far away does he live and are you prepared for the fact you may not always be able to see eachother readily. why did him and his g/f breakup and have they really or does he think he can keep two relationships going. is he on the rebound. are you a virgin if so do you want to lose your virginity to him when he may only want the one thing(sex). Try asking him to this event as a friend and make it clear you are going as friends if he truly likes you he will be patient and understand if he doesn't and tries to rush you into more then he really isn't worth much i'm sorry.
