Singles & Dating - 23 July 2006

Well, I have never been that big on dating, heck I'm 27 and I've only had 1 girlfriend, who I went out with for 6 months. This girl I really like was going out with a friend of a friend and they broke up a couple weeks ago after she caught him cheating. I met her through them and we hang out at the lake now all the time. I'll send out a myspace invite to go boating at the lake and she always comes! :) Am I reading to much into this? She's a really sweet gal, her personality is off the hook and she's good looking to boot! I'm a little over weight so I'm a little self conscious, after all she is the girl I would love to bring home to Mom. We have many common interest we both love wakeboarding and to top it off she drives the boat like a pro and can pull me!!! She's also into hotrods. She is always begging to drive my corvette, I was thinking about asking her to take me on a date, she could drive me in my car??? What do you think? I don't want to lose this friendship should I ask her out

My question is:

Would you rather be married to someone you considered YOUR soul mate, but this spouse didn't have such intense feelings toward you,

OR:

Be married to someone who considered you THEIR soul mate, but you didn't share such intense feelings.

Either way, there is love and respect from both partners.

Please tell us your choice and why, also include your gender and roundabout age (ie. M-late 20's, F-mid 40's, etc).

I'm curious to see if gender and age have any trends or if the answers are largely universal.

Last night my friend came over while she was over she called a guy i really like cause he was in my phone i walked out of the room and she asked if he liked me he didnt answer but he said he didn't want to date a girl that went to his church (we go to the same church and thats the only time i see him cuz he lives kinda far away)cause it would be weird should i just give up on him or keep trying

My friend and I have liked each other for many years now but when we first met I was still in high school and Mom wouldn't let me date. Now I'm out of school we're still friends but he often says I intimidate him. ( Don't know why). He just broke up with his girl friend couple monthes ago( partly because she's controling and erased my # out of his phone) but now keeps saying he doesn;t want to date any one until he starts his career. Yet he calls and we talk for hours. I reallly like him but don't know how to make him realize that I'd be there for him while he goes after that career. I'm not sure if that's all holding him back.
