Your question "Would you stay with a guy if he doesn't ALWAYS make good conversation with you?"

I have to answer in 2 ways.

1) The key word in your question is ALWAYS. I think that an expectation of "always" is strong. Great conversation, good conversation is important, but not all people are at their best "always"

2) For me, conversation with a significant other is very important. Communication is key to every good relationship, but I caution that it is not "always" good conversation.

My suggestion - if you are asking this for yourself - is to think about it - if it's more difficult most of the time, then perhaps you should move on to a more fulfilling relationship.

Its not his job to entertain her. This sounds like a pretty lame excuse to me. However, there is a big difference between 'doesn't always' and 'never does'. No of course i wouldn't leave a guy solely because he doesn't always make good conversation, but if he never does or if its one of a hundred other things he does that annoys me yes sure i would. There is definitely more to this story.

I think awkward moments is your brain's way of telling you you're not compatible. If you have nothing to talk about, what else is there. But sometimes someone just doesn't have the capacity to hold a conversation. As far as I'm concerned life's too short to struggle to be with ppl who aren't meant for you.

I don't think that is a reason to leave someone. If there are other things wrong with him, then sure, leave him. As you get closer, conversation should become more comfortable for him. You can bring him out of his shell a little.

Well.....no......when you realize that you have to figure out why you're together in the first place, a good conversationalist is really important.
If all he can talk about is his job, or what's important to him, it's time to ask yourself what is important in a relationship to you.
f a guy can't carry on a good conversation, in my opinion, what good is he?

I think this can work both ways. Try to get him more involved with the conversation or maybe talk about stuff he likes for a while.

what do you mean about good conversation , if you mean he has to agree with you always, then you have problem because you should understand that he has right to tell you his opinion and you should not upset if his opinion is against you,
but if he doesn't respect to you and he make you angry, upset with some unrespectful word then you have right to ask him to stop unless you leave him and if you think it is better to stay, OK stay with him and speak with him like himself, may be in this way he is going to understand about his faults

sometimes there are good conversations and sometimes there aren't...it's no reason to leave a relationship just based on conversation.....that's what other friends are for and social events too

If you do not enjoy talking to him, how is the relationship going to work?
