I sincerely believe I have a healthy self-esteem. I mean, I don't think low of myself nor I think anybody is better than me. But when it comes to romance, I notice that I'm a very bittered man. I was rejected often by the opposite sex when I was started noticing girls while I was growing. I'm terrified of rejection and at the same time I ask myself what's the worst it can happen, and we all know that being told "no" it's about it. But I'm still afraid and bittered and I can't seem to get over my teenage experiences. Please don't ask me to visit a dr. because I don't trust them at all. How can I overcome this bitterness and phobia of rejection? I'm 33 yrs. old and I'd like to have a "normal" socilal life with women. Any ideas?

Im in a long distance relationship for 1year and 7months and my boyfriend hasnt come and visite me yet do you know why he hasnt? he told me that his parents doesnt want him to travel alone.. is it really that or is it that thy dunt like me? i mean just yesterday he was near his mother and i told him to say hi to her for me and he did... i asked him wut did she say and he told me she smiled... hello??? am gonna be ur future daughter in law dunt u care to say hi back... i dont think he's parents approve of me what so think?

It's been a couple of weeks since my boyfriend of 2 yrs broke up with me. I'm trying to deal with it, and tell myself that time heals all wounds but it's really hard. Not ony was he a boyfriend, but he was my best friend. We were such a huge part of each other's lives, and now we barely talk. He sends me texts and says he misses me..but it all comes back to the same thing. He just doesn't think we are meant to be. Will I get over this..what should I do? On top of this, is the fear that I will never feel this way about someone again.

I'm dating this girl right now, and she's amazing! But she's preoccupied right now. She tells me she misses me and she wants to see me more but she's too busy right now. But there have been opprotunties for us to see eachother not for very long but long enought to spend time together. So is it what she says or what she does that I should pay more attention to. ok why does a man,me, fall for a woman a lot younger than me and believe her,and although she has not asked for anything at all.
i pride my self and to a degree my advice on here does support the fact i consider my self to be practical and sensible person.
