like i am outgoing and really friendly but the guys i know only tend to like the "PREPS" or tell them they like them but me i am to the side wondering if any guys like me so well i don't know

(^ Well, teenagers are also learning to socialize and develop relational skills which will serve them well both in the present and later in life. So the previous poster needs to lighten up.)
I don't think guys necessarily go for a certain "type" of girl aside from just seeming to have something in common with certain classes of people. We guys tend to experience attraction on mostly visual & physical grounds. So For example, even a "prep" guy would probably go for a hot goth chick over an overweight 'prep' girl. Maybe there are guys who like you but...as was said above... they're just shy. Or they're intimidated somehow. Or, just to be totally honest, maybe right now, there isn't a guy who likes you but he's on his way! ;-) Being outgoing and really friendly is excellent and you should keep that up. There probably are guys who like you who just aren't sure what to do about it, but eventually they'll step up. Yes, you do "have your whole life ahead of you", so a little patience may be all you need. :-)

These areTEMPORARY little relationships that will be meaningless when you look back on it later in life (stupid even). Get over yourself and your insecurities. Are all teenagers afraid of each other? You all seem to care WAY TOO MUCH about WHAT OTHER PEOPLE think about you. When you are a real grown-up, you care less and have REAL relationships.

This may be news to some people but girls are the aggressive ones.
