My x-b/f and I started talking again.
He has a girlfriend.
Well, he told me he still liked me.
I still like him dearly.
I want to date him again, but he is VERY hesitant because of our rocky past.
I understand why he doesn't, but I want him to know I've changed.
Also, he claims he loves his girlfriend, but I'm friends with SEVERAL of his friends and he doesn't really like her. He told me he was fed up with her.
I don't want anyone to get hurt but I really want to be with this kid.

Almost a year, it would have been our 1st anniversary in two weeks. Now it's over. I am so depressed, my heart is shattered. How do I get over it? I read about all these people who are still not over it after years, and it scares me. Please help.

He doesn't love me anymore but sees divorce as stupid. I gave my all being into this marriage without a sec of regret. After weeks of trying to reason with him, he said that we should stay together but seeing other people as these are modern times and me longing for love is childlish and unreasonable b/c all men are the same and want "new" women even though they found and married the one? Translated: why leaving him when I will find just another man that will cheat on me. Underlined: there is no such thing as love anymore. Does love exist?

I remember when friends and I were at the beach around 1989 and felt old when some girls we were hanging out with had never heard of the Eagles.

Reviewing a lot of questions, I've got to say I feel a LOT older now (because I AM a lot older now). It comes quickly, doesn't it? My 20th high school reunion has passed, and I'm pretty certain time won't slow down.

I am 40 years old and prefer to date someone close to my age for practical reasons but think that extended my age requirements I might have better luck. I think 54 is a cut off point for me. I worry however that since I would like to have a second child that the guys that are older don't want to have children. I have a daughter almost grown but always wanted to have 2 kids but have never found anyone in all these years that wanted to get married and settle down even when they were in their 30's or late 20's (this was of course when I was in that age group too)) What are the chances of a man in his 50's changing his mind about children or should I just give up on having another child someday? It seems like a man has always made the decision on whether I should have a child or not. I am not interested in becoming a single mother so that is out and my family has a high fertility rate in their 40's. My grandma had 3 in her mid to late 40's.

i want my daughters deceased fathers parents to leave me alone. they are talking about getting grandparents rights. they want to cause problems for me. i refuse to allow them to see her because they are bad people, and are bad influence. her father also didn't want them to have anything to do with her, but now he's gone, and i'm left to deal with all this.i don't know what to do.please help me.
