I know how your husband feels because my husband snores terribly. I was so irritable and mean because I would lose so much sleep. I'd even sleep in the other bedroom alot of nights to get away from him. I've tried earplugs, a sound machine playing, pillows over my ears and everything else. Finally, he went to be tested because he would snore so hard that he would quit breathing. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea. They gave him a cpap maching to wear at night and it helps him tremendously. And I can sleep with peace. Thank the Lord. You may want to have a sleep test yourself. Also, the Breathe Right patches to wear across your nose at night helps some.

There are little strips that you can buy and put over your nose, they're called, Breath Right Strips. See here:

Or, if you're cheap, like me, then I suggest that your husband wear ear plugs. Also make sure to arch your head so it's more level, because if you bow your head more, the louder it'll be because snores are created by the obstruction of air from the lungs to the nasal passages. Hope this helped.

You should see your doctor - for you might have sleep apena, which is a sleeping disorder which can potentially be serious. Or, your husband might want to try a pair of earplugs at night.

Try to sleep on your side, it helps alot.
Don't sleep on your back, your tongue hinder the airpath.
