Get an attorney. If they really are bad people and you can show the court that, they may not be granted any rights.

Let them take you to court and let a judge decide if they should be given visitations.. if the judge says yes.. which in most states there arent any rights for grandparents.. but if the judge says yes u could always ask the the visitations be supervised if u think that they are bad for your child..

First off, I am so sorry your going through this.
If talking to them does not work, you need to get a restraining order! Talk to the police and child's services about your options. Don't let people that you or your deceased husband did not want in your daughters life to be in it. Its not their daughter she is yours and she is your responsibility. Don't let them muscle their way in, you may also want to talk to his lawyer he may have had documents to the effect of keeping his parents out of your child's life.
GOOD LUCK.

Don't let them abuse you. Tell them to quit harrassing you. Tell them you will only let them see her if the court requires you to. If they don't file a suit in court for grandparent's rights, and they keep buggin you, go to court for a restraining order. Their only defense could be to file a counter suit for grandparent's rights. If they do that, motion for denial, and motion for a mental health facility to evaluate if they might be mentally harmful yto your daughter.
But be ready if the evaluation is not favorable to you. You (and your late husband) might be the unreasonable ones. If the court orders you to let them see her, then accept it.
But of course, get an attorney.

Goodness, poor girl. You are the mother and so the grandparents have no "rights" to the child so long as you are alive. You should move away and break all contact with them. Start fresh somehow and never see them again.

If possible I would seriously consider moving to another state away from your in-laws. In fact, even if it isn't possible, I still would get to another state and a different jurisdiction than the in-laws live under.
Makes it harder for them to do stuff. You might want to see an attorney and talk the issue with him. He'd have to specialize in domestic affairs.

~*~ talk to an attorney and get a restraining order.. there are always 2 sides to every story though.. I'm not trying to say that you are lying but if infact these are bad people there should be an attorney or state agency that can help you distance them from your daughter.. another thought... have you tried moving?~*~

Seek legal advice and start working on building evidence to show that they truly are "bad people." If your evidence doesn't hold up in court, they may be able to get grandparents' rights.

file a restraining order against them, if they have any contact with you or your daughter they can be arrested & taken to jail. The sooner you get the ball rolling the better it will be for you & your daughter.
