Friends - February 2007

My girlfriend recently broke up with me, and because we were friends first we decided to remain friends. Whenever i talk to her i feel great but as soon as I am done talking or hanging out with her i feel really crappy. She has been through a lot (multiple brain surgeries) and I was there to help her through her depression. She recently told me that she "Felt weird" when we hung out. Is it stupid to try to remain friends with her if It only makes me feel crappy. There is nothing i want more than to remain friends with her but I still have feelings for her and I know that if i dont talk to her i will feel even worse than i do now. please help. To put it simply.. I feel great when i hang out with her or talk to her.. but when i dont i feel like crap. My problem is i dont need to be in a relationship where i am the only one working on the friendship.

I have a friend who isn't the prettiest girl in the world, I'll admit it, but she calls herself ugly 24/7 and won't SHUT UP because she doesn't have a boyfriend! Whenever she gets around our other friends with significant others and they hug/kiss, she throws this tantrum and walks off, then later says, "I just can't handle it". She calls other friends b*** and sl**** and wh**** because they have boyfriends and she doesn't, and she's constantly making sexual innuendos about what me and my boyfriend "did last night" (we're not even sleeping together!!!! neither one of us ever has!)) She uses all this dramatic language like, "I just wasn't mean for love" and all this crap--and she's been single since like, sixth grade! It's about ten years later and she's STILL going on like this!!! She talks about relationships like she's going to fall in love and marry the guy, and acts like she knows all about them when she's never had one!!
I'm sick of it! What should I do??

hello i have a best friend in my school and i thought he is my best friend an Unfortunately, today he said that he had old close best friends that he went out with them and had fun but they all made mistakes so he left them (it's a long story), but i am sad because today he told me that he don't what new best friend and he and i know each other for 4 Years and know i don't have a best friend what should do or don't help i need a friend from this site

But even with all still talks to you ; he says if he still talks to you is because he honestly forgives and forget it all; but of course he forgets what he wants; some times he is the one remembering things from the past not just me.

Anyway; why with it all they still talk to you?

Yes and no do I think that; I do not tell him he is that at all; I just mentions his actions and his way to reject me as many times as he had was indifference; get close but then back off.

Is too damn hard to live this for both parts even when he honestly does not want anything with me; still in my heart I know I will always have him in a special place because he has been my first everything; is not a bad person but has not been great either as neither have I at times.

I say things I think blatantly; he wants honesty; but then is emotional about things so who can understand it?.
Why they talk to you again?
Why the indifference and see you again like nothing happened?.
I cannot be so forgvin

so i feel like im one of the nicest friend u could have..i listen to my friends , help them out , i never talk about them to other people when they are venting to me..but this is what i dont get...they will make plans with me and wanna go out but when i want to make plans with them..either ill call and leave a message or write them an email and they will be like OK lets go and then they wont call me back the same night when we made plans..or theyll lie and something up...why do these people do this when im so nice to them???? does anyone know..i was thinking about cutting them off since they dont want to make time for me ..

Very long story, I'll try to condense as much as possible? My husband had a friend who had no ride nor job. So, my husband picks up this guy who is married w/a little boy, takes him to tag along w/him to help him work, and pay him for being like a helper. (My husband works for himself) My husband picks this guy up to go to work w/him, buys his cigs and lunch then takes him home...for about 3 weeks. While in the store one day buying cigs, this guy steals 6 checks from our checkbook, and writes them out to himself and cashes them at the local grocery store.(totalled $600 he could of done worse?) I filed w/the bank that the checks were stolen, but haven't filed w/the police dept. His wife came over and begged us not to file charges on her husband, that she would pay back the money? But that's not the point? Right? Am I wrong to want to file charges? The wife's sister was a good friend of mine,but it's like we're the ones who stole from them? None of them will talk to us now?

i was transferred to the class where this guy is on for this last year in college. we don't speak or whatever but then one day he just told me he wants me to hear a song that he composed for me. then he started texting me and trying to be close. but we don't see each other that often because i go on hospital duties on different wards from where he goes, only once a week during class. then tonight he asked me if i would like to go to a post valentine concert where he and his band will be playing the song he composed and he said he really hopes i could come and he'll get me a ticket if i will and is waiting for my reply now. i have come from a breakup (2years ago) and recovering still because it had been on and off in the past two years. i like this guy and he interests me but i dont know what to do.. is it rude to say no? or if i go just to hear the song will he think that i like him too? which i dont want him to think......

I just want to know what mature, older friends, like college-aged, or middle-aged, friends might discuss when they are with each other for coffee or a movie or whatever.... just to "hang out" (I know middle aged people doon't hang out but you know what I mean right?)

My best frnd fell in love wid me...but i seriously have no such feelings for him.
When I say him that i dont love him he asks me the reason and does not get satisfied frm the answer that i give him...
Well yesterday something happened between us (not so serious) and he thinks that i love him
I realized afterwoeds that watever happened must not have happend...
Today i refused his proposal and behaved relly bad to him...I had no other way to tell him taht i dont love him..
I know i did hurt him but as he is my best frnd i even cant see his pain I've always been giving happiness to people and this is the first time i've hurt some1 so much...

I had a friend that was playing a game throwing a tennis ball around in the pool. Anyway, I had the ball in my hand, and she acted like she was trying to take it. She pulled my hand against her breasts and started to try to pry it out. I felt really awkward. Later that day, she wrapped her legs around on my leg and hung on me like a leech trying to get the ball. I would walk around, and she was hanging on. I really do not understand my friend's behavior! There's a guy at my school that i really like hes all i think about i wait for him to call me everyday and when he does i get butterflies in my stomach but he has gone out with four of my friends and he acts like he likes them when he doesnt and three of them he told me for a fact he never liked them but he wouldnt tell me why he went out with them and the fourth one hes still going out with but he ignores her for me why does he and other guuys do that????

Well, I started known her when we were at the age of 11, she is Malay, she loves to smile, but she don't smile much in photos and she never show her teeth in photos either. To me, she is a very kind & quiet girl. Someday if I fix a date to meet her, I will love to take lots of photos of her. Do you think she will smile? Do you think she will show her teeth? hi, my name is matt.i am 12 years in the 7 th grade. i have known my best friend bill since 1st grade and their is a very bad situation with bill's brother. bill's brother(bob) is a 9 th grader who is supposed to be a 10th grader because the teacher in a church school as traditionally held him back about 10 years ago. that wasn't any of his fault. they did that to every boy. so any way, bob has been yelling and scream like crazy at his mom for all his life. when me and bill were in 3rd grade and bob was in fifth grade, he really started becoming an very extreme maniac. he is said by his and doctor that he has mental problems. he hits his mom and his brother all the time. he forces his mom to buy whatever he wants including expansive baseball cards and baseball equipments, snacks, and video games, and game systems, and sodas, red bull. and if the mom doesn't do it he starts hitting her. the other year bob became a suicidal and cutted himself with a knife like crazy.
