It means that she likes you better than other friends she has because she can talk to you about things she wouldn't talk about to others etc. Some times "special friends" turn into more than just friends, but usually they just remain that, "special friends". It's a compliment and it's nice to be a "special friend" and to have one as well. I wouldn't call it "kinky".
Just read you extra notes on subject. In this case I will assume that the trucker is the special friend and most likely they are just friends, not having sex. But I don't blame you for being suspicious, it's only human nature to be that.

Maybe she's got a friend who is a slow learner. Who is she referring to Male or Female? Either one she might be having sexual relationship with.
