Friends - February 2007

I have a lifelong friend that is like a brother to me. Recently my husband had back surgery and will be having more in a month. I had to take a leave of absence from work to care for him ( also watch my grandbaby on the weekends) Our only income now is my hubby's disability check which just gets us by each month. My friend calls two times a week asking us to come down for a weekend and when I tell him no, he persists--I tell him #1 we have the grandbaby on weekends, #2 my husband can not sit in a car for 3 hours and mostly we do not have the extra money right now. To which he replies it is only gas, you can squeeze that out. Well in all honestly we can't and we would need money when we get there. I have told him how much we now get and how many bills we have and I can not get it thru his thick skull that it is impossible. Short of telling him completely off what can I do to get him to understand. I am really getting frustrated with him and having to explain it over and over again.

I have a 16 year old boy. He has a girlfriend. I know that they are sexually active as i have caught them once or twice. My son is under the impression that she is 16 years old, but i have recently found out that she is only 14 years old.

I have never liked this girl as she is a little cheeky and not very hygenic and my son is aware that i dont like her.

Do i tell my son about her age?

I am worried about the consiquences. Could my son get arrested for underage sex, as she is only 14years old.

Please help me as i am at my wits end!!!!!!

Isn't there something a little bit sad or desperate about people who claim a dog is their best friend? Wouldn't it be more healthy to choose your friends from the same species? Aren't they mistaking a dogs inability to communicate for total acceptance and understanding?

He is a great guy and he hasn't done this thing before. He ahs been going through a lot of emotional things and his parents have been trying to help him, but they don't know about the drug and alcohol. He is my best friend and his parents love me. Ok, there's this guy I know who has had a crush on me for about 3 years. I don't have to come in contact with him as much as I used to, but when we DO see each other, he won't leave me alone!!! I have this girl who has been a good friend of mine. She has had a history of bullies—her being pushed, shoved and picked on at school since 11th grade. She is now older. Nobody is a bully to her anymore since everyone is scared of her boyfriend who is in a gang. Lately she has been playing around “those punks will pay for what they did” in a smiling but hysterical matter. I was thinking maybe she is hurt and just talking. Should I be worried?

i like this guy. v hav known each other for about 2 years. we call and also e-mail each other. once, i asked him if he loved some girl. he said yes. i asked who it was. he said he would tell me on his birthday bcoz he was going to propose her. his birthday got past. i asked him who it was. he said he had proposed her and got nice scoldings. and the next day he mailed me saying that he had lied. after some days i asked him again who it was. he replied that her name was aparna and that she was from different school. then he e-mailed saying that he had lied again. after a few days he didn't turn up for school. i called him. he said he had fever and wouldn't come to school for a week. i really missed him a lot. thats when i knew i loved him. he came back to schol. he reacted as if he really loved me. i always talked with him freely.i really don't want to ask him straight. also i don't want to find it thru my friends. i want him to tell me directly with a kiss.
can anyone help me????

I feel as if i have too many groups of friends and not enough time on my hands. I have my close friends and then i have the "other" friends, you know, the ones you call on the weekend to see what their doing and whats going on but thats about it? Well, lately i have been trying to avoid a good 3 or 4 of my close friends and they are so persistent on trying to figure out what is going on. When really i just want them to leave me alone. Especially this one that just bothers me all day long. To no end. We hated eachother at one point and now we are too close, and when i mean too close, i mean sex and all. Is there a way to stop this and put an end to it? I just want to have our old ways back. And have him not be so possessive either. My friends are always fighting over who is my "best friend" I hate it. So i practically have shut out everyone and dont care. Is this wrong? And does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do?

I dont no why all the people in my class hate me!!! I came from Chicago to Europe 3 years ago and since then they hated me...
i was nice to them i helped them everthing!!! But its no use...
They only like me when we have English class... :)
