my best friend is acting very stand -offish. should I take a hint and stop talking to her or do i try more than i'm trying now to see what the deal is?

Ask her...if she is your bestfriend she will tell you whats bothering her...if it's something you did she is probably stand-offish because you havent said sorry...So just talk to her....

Why don't you just ask her what her problem is. If she says nothing then point out how she's been acting tell her it offends you and ask her why shes acting like that

I think you should just talk to her. People act in various ways expressing theyr emotions.

Just say...You can tell me what your problem is..now or later...your choice...you know where to find me, I will always be there for you ..... (It will make her feel small...for being so stupid to you...you will get her answer and apology soon enough)....GOOD LUCK...and stay a good friend....
