You usually meet other moms at the park. The library is good too. Libraries usually have weekly reading events for young children, lots of groups frequent them.

www.netmums.co.uk is fantastic, there are links that will give you information of your local groups and theres even a meet a mum category where you can tell other mums about yourself and reply to ones you like the sound of. good luck xxx

Look up you local Council website or go to you local library,thats how I found uot everything about my new Area.

you dont say where you are, or even what country you are in, but there are many groups you can join for friends, pick something you enjoy doing, such as reading, dancing and look for something involving that.
