I am in 7th grade and very shy.I had lots of friends from kindergarten,and until 4th grade.Then,I moved in 5th grade,and I still don't have a lot of friends.I want more friends,but don't know how to approach people,or start conversations.I have friends,but they're not my best friends and only talk to me sometimes.What should I do????

i used to talk to this guy online and hes frends of my classmates , so e became best frends and i always knew he didn like me more than a sis . Then i went through this phase were i don talk 2 guys out school so i told him im gona block him . Now after 1 year i still cant forget him !so im in love with him with a guy i dn even talk 2..
i still know people who know him , should i add him knowing we are just going go be frends?Or should i just move on? coz i cant seem to frget him..

They've been together for almost 2 years now. In the beginning they seemed very meant for eachother. Then they went off to college in seperate states where he proceeded to be with other girls, have a "busy" schedule with all his friends (he can't say no to anybody) and never took the time to call her, message her or let her know he's missing her. They got back together spring break and all he did was use her for sex and a place to sleep. After going back to school AGAIN he pulled the same tricks as last time...this has gone on all 2 years of their relationship. Every time they meet up again it's for sex and him telling her how wonderful she is (so he can get what he wants) because he knows that's what she wants to hear. He now is flirting with her roomate right in front of her eyes. When I tried to tell her, she said to me that they've only met three times, they're never going to be compatible that way and so on.

So I have this friend that I've known since middle school. We've always had an on and off friendship. She lives in FL right now and shes having issues with her live in boyfriend. He wont leave, regardless of how many times she asks him to. Note this is her mothers house. I've told her to get him out but her excuse is she wants to but cant because he helps pay some of the bills (even though getting the money is like pulling teeth). So she sent me a text over the holiday telling me she needed to get away and if I could tell my friends her situation and then ask them to pitch in some money to pay for her plane ticket which she doesnt even plan on paying anyone back. Shes always been the type to use people. It had been so long though I thought she changed.I figure its her situation and she has her own friends in FL, so why not ask them? I would give her the money if I had it but I dont and neither does any of our mutual friends here since we're all college students barely making any money.

I have a manager who is my friend and we share lot of secrets with other We buy each other birthday presents and great Christmas presents and presents out of the blue We talk all the time out of work. Hell she came over for dinner last week. She seems really great, Well the last week our work has had some very bad news. Our store is closing. We shared some tears and we were hoping to get transfered to the same store. I was off yesterday and she got news that she was transfering to another store and tomorrow is her last day. Well she hasn't told me yet. Another employee told. Why the hell wouldn't she tell me. It is almost 24hrs since she found out. I am so bothered by this. I feel like a loser to be honest with you.

i fell out with my best friend a while ago because she went behind my back with my bf and i was upset and found i was more different to her than i thought so i decided i didnt need her as a friend anymore,That turned out to be a really good decision as im much happier now but the thing is that my other best friend is also her friend and it used to be the three of us but now i have fallen out with the 1st friend i have also grown apart from the 2nd. We have spoken about it a lot and i have been trying 2 stay in contact with her but its really hard because we are at college now and we do different subjects so i hardly ever get to see her. We fell out a while ago but made up but then didnt get the chance to see each other and the next time i saw her she blanked me....i dont no wat 2 do...all my other friends say that she should respect my choice and allow me to do wat i want so i can be happy..but i still feel really guilty cos its not her fault....wat should i do?

I hang out with people of a different ethnicity and so the situation occurs quite often. I've been in a car with two friends who started speaking in their native tongue to each other, all the while I'm completely out of the conversation. When I ask about the conversation they provide a cursory answer and stop talking altogether. It's like they're annoyed I want to be part of the discussion.

What's worse is when we're hanging out and they sort of make quick statements to each other in their native language, look at me, and snicker. When I ask what's up they reply with a "Oh, it's nothing."

To me it seems rude and makes people feel estranged and uninterested in what's going on. Not to mention how crappy it feels knowing people don't care how you feel or don't want to act considerate towards you.

I've been hearing various people including my sig, and various posters say that if you are smart, attractive and can "afford" to have children, (and are good with children) then it is selfish not to have them. Someone please explain this to me. It really doesn't make sense to me. I thought children were supposed to be some big joy, not something you feel obligated to do. or is it that no one particularly wants to have children, just simply makes the best of them when they arrive?
