my boyfriend broke up with me because he was cheating on me he got my friends to tell me but none of them wanted to tell me because they new i loved him but they eventually told me and i tried not to cry but i burst out in tears his best mate asked if i was ok and he told me that he told him not to break up with me and i thought that was sweet a but its ben a while now but i know i love him because i still feel the same about him and i can't stop my feelings i really want him back i feel like he's the one for me.

So I don’t know what to get my best friend. She always gets me wonderful gifts, and isn’t afraid to spend quite a bit. Right now we are living far apart, so it’s not like I can take her out for a spa day or something. She is stylish, has money and likes to show it, and definitely has her own taste. Not in a weird way, more so in a good way (if that makes sense...). The thing is, I want to get her a great gift. And no, I’m afraid she wouldn’t appreciate something “hand made” or whatever...plus all that stuff isn’t really my thing. SO does anybody know of some good gifts that aren’t too much, but I still nice? Thanks :)

I know a guy (1) who isn't really a friend, but his behaviors confused me. We chatted twice last week, and on both occasions he tried to get me to talk about another guy (2). He suspected guy 2 and doesn't trust him. Since he doesn't know guy 2, I don't think it's his business as to what kind of person guy 2 is or why I trust guy 2, so I said little about guy 2. He got mad because of this. I guess he was trying to show he was concerned about me and wanted to help, although I still don't know why a total stranger could anger him so, or why it bothered him that I might've chosen the wrong type of friend. It really isn't his business, and I don't see why my welbeing should be his concern when we aren't really friends yet. Would you find such a person nosy or caring? Why? Thanks for your analysis.

Right now i feel like i have no friends. Over the summer my best friend for 6 years told me she thought i was a Royal, self-centered, selfish, bossy, know-it-all, *****, we talked about it and i thought it was worked out but now she never talks to me. all my other friends say that they've never thought anything like that about me and don't know where she got it from but then again none of them would talk to me unless i drifted to their various groups throught the day. so in school i don't talk any more b/c i have no 1 to talk to.
At home my dad bitches at me 24/7 for things that arn't my fault or that i didn't do. i can't take it. he makes me feel like i'm good for nothing and like i can never do anything right. they my cats sick and every day he tells me how close he is to just shooting it i've had my cat for 8 years and i can't imagine loosing him
I cant take my life right now and i can't live like this any longer i have nothing to look forward to and no reason to get out of bed

So i have these 3 best friends. Weve been friends for quite a while. Well 2 of them decided that they were tired of our other friend. So for the last couple of weeks they've been totally ragging on her and leaving her out of everything and making me part of it. I still partly want to be friends with her. You talk to someone online or in a casual conversation, then the next day you realize what you said, think "oh my god they're going to rip me a new one!" but when you talk to them they're not even phased by it? But, but- you were expecting them to be wholeheartedly pissed off at you? (not over anything reallly hurtful just some really dumb conversation you have, or awkward convo)

My old friend moved about 30 minutes away from me and my best friend.... My old friend doesn't like my best friend BUT my old friend is on the same soccer team as me...... A friend that I really care about has a hard time with our relationship sometimes because she believes that I do things for her but she doesn't do things for me. It makes her feel uncomfortable that she feels she can't reciprocate. For example, today I was going to run something that she needed by her house (it was more or less on my way home) but then she called me and said that it made her feel uncomfortable. I think she thinks she's taking advantage of me, but I care about her and want to do things for her. Besides, she does do things for me, but she just doesn't recognize it.

In my way of thinking, friendship isn't about counting how many favors each person has done for the other and making sure they are equal. I consider it a blessing to me to have opportunities to help her out, and I'm sure that she would do the same for me if I needed it.

How can I help my friend to see this?

This person is supposed to be my best friend as of lately our relationship has been feeling...a bit lacking. We were going to hang out this weekend after I got back from my vacation from Florida to try and fix it. She never called me. And here we are two days later and she still hasn't called me. I call her house and cell phone. No one picks up or returns my calls. I'm not very popular could it be that she traded up for better friends? Any advice as to what could possibly be going on would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch

it seems like agter i graduated high school i lost all my friends. some went to college or the army but i stayed here (working on transfer degree from community college to OSU) and another friend stayed as well...now i dont even talk to him. i am all alone with out even a girl friend...do all your friends normaly leave after high school and your left all alone?

Can anyone offer advice on dealing with competitive, judgmental, homophobic, extremely religious relatives (brother-in-law & wife) who look down on everyone who does not think the way they do? They spend a great deal of their time criticizing others (on their marriages, how they raise their children) yet they themselves fight more than any couple I've ever met (often in public) and do not have well behaved, well adjusted children. Infact, their 5-year old is a terror and is a terrible influence on our younger children. My husband and I consider ourselves moderate, tolerant people and pride ourselves on having friends of many different cultural, political and religious backgrounds. However, we cannot seem to have civil discussions on religion, politics, social issues etc with these folks as they are prone to obnoxious, completely uninformed statements that end up offending the rest of the family. We are obligated to see them 3-4x/yr @ holidays. They do have a few good qualities.Help!

They were really opposed to me getting into asian culture. They said I should stay black and die, but I want to space out and learn other things. They always influence my life as to how I did everything, now I want to be myself and want others to like me for me, not cause some group accepted me. I knew all 20 of them all my life, now I have exactly no friends at all. They said I could come back when I become "black" again. They were really limiting me.

Did I act to fast and hard? Should I have done it differently?

They really insulted me cause I do have asian ancestry but they said "Black is Black" and that is all I should worry about.

I don't feel like that anymore.
