Lets take a stroll hand in hand
Where evil does not exist,
a garden is full of wonderful wonders
this one you shall not miss,

This place I talk to you about is my heart
The place you have forever stolen,
Don’t ever let this place slip by
Its eternal love will keep you going,

A butterfly so frail and week
Its wings so delicate yet amazing,
Another little thing that makes this world whole
A life made up of only grazing,

You can look for a grand adventure
And be disappointed in the end,
But when you really find true love
They will forever be your eternal friend,

There is one for every person
A special feeling that never goes away,
You just have to pluck that needle out
And everyone else will be left with a little ball of hay,

Cherish it forever
You never know how long it will last,
Live in the here and the now
But never live in the past,

You will be mine for all eternity
It is plain for all to see,
I shall be yours from here after
You and I will always be.

Sorry, Itend to agree a little with Ms. Switch.
You sound as if you are in love with him and these words are coming from your (kind) heart.
But a guy can be overwhelmed with such 'commitment' words, such as mentioning eternity - he may 'see' no escape clause if it all goes pear-shaped (which I hope it doesn't, of course).
If a guy feels 'trapped', he might run.
Your intentions are lovely and your poem is beautifully creative, although a bit contradictory in spots.
Humour + heart = a touched man (?) Am I right guys, or wrong?
Anyway, I wish you well.

I made a poem for my anniversary too. However, my boyfriend and I talk about marriage all the time, so a poem like this will be appropriate.

I think it depends on what you two talk about for the future and how old you are to see if this poem is good for the two of you.

I also do want to tell you to be very careful posting your poem online. Anyone can steal it and take the credit for it...

at the risk of sounding harsh and cynical-- fold this up and put it away.....

After a year...?
"you will be mine for all eternity"... ? You contradict yourself by saying "you never know how long it will last..."

You have a gift for imagery, but have let it be overrun with the illusion of romance. Tone it down if you're giving it to him. Keep it light. Ask yourself what this all means, and if it's true, and if it makes any sense whatsoever.
