Friends - November 2006

I hurt a persons feelings of not only what I said but how I acted and she called me out on it today and brought it to my attention. I was annoyed because of something she did, in my church people are poor and excessively needy and they ALWAYS need something and this person said to me now that you are a deacons wife you have to be more avialable and yes that is true but I also have a life outside of church.

The person that I was asked to minister to is very poor low class and a very angry person who is forever yelling at her twins and I really don't want to deal with her. I know as beleivers we are to love one another but I really don't like her.

How can I be more compassionate and loving even when I dont feel like it? I will be moving In January. I find itwould be easier to be disobedient and walk away from the church that be obedient
bear one anothers burdens. I have been doing this ministry since 1989 and joined by husbands church in 1993 and I am tired and want to move on.

My bf and I have been together for almost 1yr. now, I meet his friends early on in our relationship and for his sake I tried to make friends with them. His guyfriends r great and I have no problems. The girl on the other hand I thought I was on good terms with but lately I have noticed thats not the case. In the last year they have come up to me in 4 different instances to tell me my bf was cheating, it would always come back that they had exaggerated the situation , it would cause a huge fight w my bf and I then we would see what they had done and then we would get back together. Today my bf came to me and told me that he was told by his friends that I was flirting with a bunch of guys at the library when I was studying with the girls. Without a lie I was not and the only time I spoke to any1 was to tell this guy to shut up bc he was loud. I really want your advice on how to deal with these girls. I know this is childish but they need to see how much it hurts to be betrayed like this.

I recently got a promotion and have been working several hours, lots of overtime. I am so sleepy when I get home and just do what it takes to get my daughter and i ready for the next day and rest. My best friend is upset with me because I have not been talking to her as much as i did before and have not had time for her. I have tryed to talk to her about it but now she is ignoring my calls. I know i have not had alot of time for her lately but I feel that she is not being understanding at all. Am I right? What should i do?

My best friend is moving here (michigan) from Florida next week. My friend that I have been getting close to is doing something stupid. She has been hitting on this guy who has a girlfriend. She is trying to make herself look good by saying there just friends, but her and the guy are making like a secret language they use in the halls. Then the boyfriend cheated on the girlfriend and made out with my friend (In no that was confusing) I have this hole thing about people growing up to fast in there sexual life. She is really hot and has great potential to do something great in her life because she is so smart. But right now she is acting like a complete slu-t. I kinda like her but she is making me really mad. But I am not the only one who thinks this about her, Should I confront her or just leave her alone and get her out of my life because If she continues to act liek this I dont want to be involved.

I've realized for a long time that she likes to have control over all her relationships, even to the point that she prefers that I don't like her boyfriend so that I won't hang out with both of them -- only her. She seems to like that her sister and brother's don't like him also, so that she can keep everyone separated when she spends time with them.

We spend tons of time talking about her relationship. I've been out of the dating world for over a year -- now that I'm back in it she's acting odd. She likes discussing the guys for a few days, but then stops asking or even saying much -- even when I directly ask for her opinion. Is this part of her controlling nature or something else?

My very good friend has been in a relationship with her boyfriend for many years. They got together when he was married; he eventually divorced and is now living with my friend. They have lots of problems which she and I discuss daily, for hours at a time.

I haven't dated for a long time until recently. Now that I'm starting again, I'm feeling confused. She seems excited about discussing my guys and the little anxieties that come up, etc for a week or so, then stops asking questions or offering opinions when I raise the subject of what's going on within my romantic life.

Does she disapprove of something I'm doing? I don't react poorly when she points out mistakes I may have made, so I don't think she's just biting her tongue because I don't take her opinion well. But I'm confused. Opinions?

Well every day when I go to school when I want to talk to my friend I say hi! She says hey well I can't talk right now because I'm busy so I'll talk later! I say ok...
