Friends - October 2006

My goal is to start developing some friendships so what I am doing is stepping out of my comfort zone by first going to different residence halls to eat. If you are in college you know what I am talking about). Well I get there I purposely sit at a big table so when it gets crowded people would be forced to sit their with me. But when they actually sit down I freeze up I sit there and not say one word but they don't say anything either. If I don't find the courage to strike up conversations I will never make any friends. What should I do? What should I say?

So this guy was my best friend for over a year. There was 4 of us and we were the best of friends, we talked about everything and had uncountable great laughs. He tried to make a move on me one night, and i brought it out to everyone. Then, we found out that everything that he ever told us was something he had made up. I have completely lost all of my trust for him and we are no longer friends. One of the 4 great friends was the guy i was in love with and it hurt him that our friend, tom, could do this. However, he is friends with him again and skyler and i arent. Tonight the 2 of them, tom and billy, want to come over and talk about everything. Is this a good thing or not? Should we talk to him or just tell him to go away?

My friend susana was crying becuz a boy pushed her cuz they were playing around. but she started the game she pushed him very hard!And he was pushing her a little then she starts to cry!And is gonna tell her mom to talk to the principal to suspend him cuz she started to cry!And said thats shes changing classes so she wont be with him anymore!And today she was absent becuz of that push and said shes gonna be absent the whole week!Dont you think shes being a little too dramatic about this????

okay here's the deal my best friend and i always fight. I mean at least twice a month. Half time we're fighting i never pay attention. when she yells at me i just zone out. that pisses her off even more. Then of course she starts crying and blaming me for everything. So i roll my eyes and continue to zone out. then i ask her why she is crying and she says "oh my gosh you don't even care." then i walk home and we don't talk for a week. i approach her to say hi and she walks right by me. then of course when she approaches me i answer. she ignores me yet she expects me to chase her. what the heck? i noticed she only treats me like this. she has never got into a fight with her other friends. any advice

My husband's friend introduced us to his new live-in girlfriend and we both became good friends. She confided in me and told me that she is seeing her boss. She brags about the attention and gifts she gets from her boss like she wants me to be jeolous that she can juggle two men. I really like this guy and my best friend knows it. I've liked him for about two years now and in one point in time i think he liked me to but i was to shy to say n-e thing about it. yea i know bad move. but n-e way. lately my best friend has been all over him. just today she was sitting on his lap for about a half hour right in front of me. Looking at me with this innocent look on her face like she wasnt doing n-e thing wrong. Its funny though because she has a boy friend that she says she loves soooo much. She had his name written on her hand but when the guy i like (love?) asked her who he was all she said was a dude. That "dude" is the person she talks about getting married too and haveing his kids. What would you call that? Does she really care about me, i mean this is the girl that says shed die b-4 letting n-e one hurt me, yet here she is jabbing a knife in my heart? My husband and I are friends with this couple. I am very good friends with the girl and my husband is very good friends with the man. We all found out that she was cheating on her husband. I think it's horrible because she was telling me that she was going to leave him and sue him for alimony (they've only been married 5 months and she's had two prior divorces because of her adultress ways), and she has two kids with two other guys. Anyway, my question is, for opinion's sake, is would you still be friends with the girl? She's very nice and fun to hang out with. But she is very self-destructive and it seems to me now that she is just a gold-digger. What are your alls thoughts on this subject?

It's the weirdest thing for me. This guy was my lab partner last year, and we ended up being getting along really well. We hung out a school, and since he was on my team (as in we had the same teachers), we ended up pretty close.
Over the summer, I realized that I like him. This year, we're not on the same team, and hardly see each other anymore. I really miss hanging out with him, and now that I like him, it kind of hurts not to be around him anymore. I want to tell him about how I feel, but his best friend is a friend of mine, and the guy told his friend that he doesn't like anyone right now. Last time I told a guy I like him, he completely broke my heart. I don't want to get hurt again. How can I tell him how I feel?
