Well sooner or later you see for yourself that you just don't fit in anymore and see that you have less and less things in common with the younger set.

When your out with them having drinks and you notice that all the things they are talking about or googling over just don't have any interest with you anymore. There's that little voice inside that say's "what are you doing????m you gonna party all night, drink , perv at guys and what's with your too tight clothes" You listen to that voice and realise that you've just outgrown those around you, so you move away from the and find people more into how and what your feeling. Im 41 and the last time I went out cruising around with old buddies I had a 22 year old guy try to pick me up and all I could say was.......my oldest son is 1 year younger than you sweety......yup, I went home alone, thngs just didnt fit right with me. roflol.

I really enjoy people who are younger than me, When I'm totally honest about what I like and think, and just enjoy them being the same, we all seem to have a good time. The problem is "the middle-age crunch." Responsibilities coming from all directions. I Do Not have the time to "hang out" with friends unless we're accomplishing something necessary. So I'm really depending on my younger friends to keep me connected with their world in the most potent, succinct, compassionately informative ways they can, because otherwise, I'm just gonna miss it. And they're gonna miss all my helpful, mature, proactive feedback. ROFL

I don't hang out with people significantly younger than me because I have already "been there and done that".

I remember how stupid I was in my twenties, and I don't have the stomach to go through that again with younger friends.

But on the other hand, I have girlfriends who are SIGNIFICANTLY OLDER than I am who I think are complete idiots! So I don't hang out with them either.

I am over 30 and would have to say that there was a few things.....one was when I had children. My friends that were younger and unmarried had little in common with me anymore. And once I had to be a responsible adult........going out drinking etc was no longer fun.

I got married and had kids. My family became the focus of my life. I had fun in my 20's, but it is now time for responsibility. I am 34
