I'm so shy and so sensitive it's frustrating! Though people are always like "Who gives a crap? Don't listen to them!" ...which doesn't seem very helpful for me. I try not to but it doesn't always work... :-(

I have this friend, also a mom. She s "always right" and "knows" the best solution for everything. She's the best parent, decision maker, problem solver and it seems like she's in "competition" with every other person out there. You cant talk to her bc she HAS to interrupt,LOUDLY to make HER point once again. Becaus "I just like to..." and "I just think...". UGH! Does she really believe she knows it all? Could she be that blind? Ive known her 6 months and weve been in 4 major fights over NOTHING!

So, I got the phone call very late monday night from a dear friend of mine. Twelve hours earlier, she got the call saying she has cancer. She's thirty, married with an eight year old, and works as a vet tech at a small clinic. I, of course, offered whatever support i can give to her (my mother went through breast cancer and I was her daily care giver. I know what she's in for.)....

But.... what can I do/ give her as a good sign of support? I've put down my crocheting projects for the time being to make her several soft and fuzzy hats (chemo- loss of hair- extremely sensative scalps). They don't have enough food storage space where I could make them tons of meals for future use.... Is there anything else I can do or offer that could help? She knows already (as does her husband) that I'm there for all the late night calls, hospital appointments, errands, and whatever they need.... But I feel like it's not enough.

lady aquarius, I apologize if i offended you, i don't think anybody would want to be shot at and i shouldn't have implied, that you make it seem like an honor, to be shot at. I apologize and i'm not just saying that because of the ten points, i'm saying it because i was wrong. I did not deserve the points. I'm sorry for posting this as a question but you have no e-mail address and this is the only way, i can try and get in contact with you. I hope you see this message.

This was just a note really to thank everyone that answered my previous question; It strengthened my resolve that I was doing the right thing to visit. Even though in the event he was heavily sedated, he just might have known I was there. Either way I was pleased I went, a final chance to say goodbye. Sadly he died last night but he managed 9 months when the doctors gave him 9 weeks at best. If you are out there, my friend, it was a pleasure to know you.

My friend only had her permit but she could have someone who had their license drive with her (she's 18). But no one really knew that she didn't have her liscense.

anyways when she needed to go some where she'd see if i was doing anything. I went three different places with her. Two of them were to see her now boyfriend.

the one time we went up to where he lives but he never came back with us and the other time it was to see him cuz he was mad about something at like 11 something at night.

did she just use me cuz i have my liscense so she could see him?

now she has her license we don't do anything together

It seems that a young couple had just gotton married and spent their wedding night with the young mans parents.

In the morning the mother got up and prepared a lovely breakfast, went to the bottom of the stairs and called for them to come down for breakfast. After a long wait the family ate without the newlyweds. The mother said "I wonder why they never came down to eat."

The groomes young brother said "Mommy, I think..."

"Oh shut up I don't want to hear what you think!" said the mother, not wanting to hear any inappropriate comments from the younger brother.

At lunch time the mother again prepared a wonderful meal and again called the young couple to eat. After another long wait the family proceeded to eat, and after the meal was completed the mother once again said "I wonder why they never came down to eat?" Once again the younger brother started to speak, but was interrupted by the mother.

At dinner time once again the mother cooked a very elaborate meal, had the table set perfect and called the newlyweds to join the family for dinner. After another long wait the mother once again questioned why they had not come downstairs all day.

The young lad once again said "Mommy I think..."

"Well what is it that you think?" asked the mother rather irritated.

"I think that when my big brother came down to get the vaseline last night, he got my model plane glue instead."

One of my best friends has told me that she has been swapping texts and picture/video messages with her one of her b/f's best friends (which is not unusual), but then she told me that the pictures and videos were quite intimate. I know the guy as well but does what she is doing constitute cheating and what should I say to her?

well she was my best friend but we've grown apart then we got back to our old ways then now we are growing apart once again.
the way it was with her one boyfriend "George" was that she would spent all the free time with him. she would stay up to late hours and he'd stay over. or she'd say something is wrong and there he is. if i'd ask if she wanted to do something she'd be like "oh 'george' and i have something planed"
i told her from day one i didn't like him but i'll support the relationship. they broke up because "i don't have time for a girlfriend". Now he's back with his ex.
now her current boyfriend "Joe". She lives at his appartment at his college with his cousin and her friend. She never has time anymore...again.Just because we go to different schools it doesn't matter. we live less than 3 min. from one another. But she'd rather be with him.
why would someone chose a guy over a friend? we've been friends since we were very little.....

There's a guy at work who regularly smells... not really BO - more like a "dank" smell - perhaps from not drying his clothes properly... his co-workers regularly talk about him but no one wants to raise the subject - not even his manager! What would be a good way to let him know?
