I'm gonna guess Islam, because I know the parental respect factor is very high with them (well, to the Father anyway. The Mother is almost considered an equal to her male children - I've seen this first hand), and I know that the first biggest sin is renouncing (as in leaving) Islam.

(EDIT) So is "oof" a particular curse word in Arabic or something? Or did you just pick an innocent sounding syllable?

I was catholic and according to the 10 commandments u have to show respect to ur parents, and happens that this 10 rules applies for jews and muslims too.

It's in Islam. Actually it's from a verse in Quran which goes on to advice us to follow whatever our parents say unless it violates the word of God.
"Off!" is just a sound like "Ahh!", generally meaning words like "Ah C'mon!" or "Gimme a break!" or things like that.
And I must say that the youth I see around me say far more horrible things than those to their parents!

I am a muslim girl, living in UAE, and I can tell u that parental respect is very important to us. If u respect the GOD, you should respect your parents.
