I had just recently broke up with my boyfriend. I know he wasn't the best guy for me. He was actually kind of an asshole and it wasn't going anywhere. I know I probably made the right decision, but why do I feel like ****... like I'm making a big mistake? Should I have tried to work it out with him despite the many recurrent arguements that we had?

In scientific papers I read that in the USA about a third of young men admit to having physically attacked a dating partner during the previous twelve months. I wonder how many of these attacks were s p a n k i n g s ? They are particularly humiliating because the woman is treated like a child and because many people think she likes it. What is your estimate: What percentage of women must endure this treatment by a boyfriend or dating partner without having given their consent? (With consent it is a different thing of course.) Please serious answers only, this is meant scientifically.

Which would you find more worrying?

Scenario 1: Your teenage daughter tells you her boyfriend smokes marijuana - and she has tried it.

Scenario 2. Your teenage daughter has been riding on the back of her b/f's motorcycle - and he had been drinking alcohol.

I have recently had both of these told to me by my somewhat rebellious 19 year old daughter. The scariest? - my vote is for #2 - it's hard to die from smoking pot, but riding on the back of some drunken idiot's m/cycle is positively lethal. Although I don't particularly like her hanging out with potheads, at least she isn't in peril of her life. I went a little ballistic at #2, but I don't want to scare her off from telling me what she gets up to.

I am curious how other parents would deal with this.

love or lust?
i said to him i might have feelings. he started feeling uneasy and next min he asks me if i m up for sex with him. he also said i couldnt imagine this relationship would turn romantic. when i backed out he said that he didnt want to go there but found himself there as you had feelings for me. he also said that he cared a lot for me.

can this guy differentiate between love and lust?

we got married a couple of months back.earlier i was not so much possessive abt anyone or anything. But now i don't even like to eat alone or stay at home alone. ever since i came to know he had a short affair with a girl before he met me.(she dumped him)I sometimes even doubt that he loves me. he loves me a lot and takes care of me. But how do i feel secure and happy and satisfied and less possessive again?
help me.. I keep thinking abt the same things again and again.
Thanks for your responses in advance..
