I had just recently broke up with my boyfriend. I know he wasn't the best guy for me. He was actually kind of an asshole and it wasn't going anywhere. I know I probably made the right decision, but why do I feel like ****... like I'm making a big mistake? Should I have tried to work it out with him despite the many recurrent arguements that we had?

no good that you broke up.. why do you want to be with someone who made you hurt... sometimes doing the right thing will hurt a lot inside.. but one day you will realize that you didn't make a mistake...

You did the right thing. You were just wasting your time with a bum like him. You are going to be hurt for a long time but at least you won't have the stress you had when you were with him. Time will heal your wounds. Believe that was the best thing you did for yourself. Now you can move on and enjoy life without that pain. Then in time you will find a good and decent guy, one that you deserve. Best of luck!

You answered your own question better than anyone else could have. You said he wasn't the best guy for you, and your relationship wasn't going anywhere. It is certainly possible to love someone who isn't good for you, and that my dear is why it hurts so bad. If you truly loved him, you will most likely always love him, but that doesn't mean you should have stayed with him. The hurt will lessen, and I'm sure you will find love again, time heals all wounds.

You've already told us (and yourself) what kind of guy he was, so you probably made the right decision. True enough, I don't know why it hurts, but I would assume that even though you tried your best, your best wasn't enough to make him change and you're probably disappointed with that. It's okay to be disappointed, but know that you can't change anyone; and if he can't compliment you, he's probably not the one for you. You'll mourn for a little while, but you'll come out so much stronger...

Sometimes, we just don't have the heart to say forget and really forget about the whole thing. But don't think of it and time will really heal the hurted heart.

nope...if you tried to work it out with him, you would be stuck with a man that you know isn't the best for u, and that would be the worst thing that any woman can ever have.
