My mother decided to throw a dinner party for twenty guests. Before the party she told me she was concerned I was fat (Im 300lbs). She told me just to watch what I ate at her party. I took offense to this- how dare she judge me! Im 20 years old I can make my own decisions. Thirty minutes before the party began she had all the food laid out for people to eat. She was in another room getting her dress ready. To get even with her, I ate all the cookies and brownies and wolfed down most of the shrimp salad and chicken wings she would be serving. By the time I was done, only some bread was left- I ate most of it just to make her party ruined! She walked in just as guests arrived and looked in shock- I had crumbs and frosting on my face and I yelled at her and told her "Yeah I ate all your stupid food for ur party!" The guests that had came left, and my mother cancelled the party. She now won't speak to me- and my Dad thinks I acted like a pig. I was on the toilet all night too- Help anyone!

I am headed to a wedding in a few weeks for a 26 year old friend of mine. I am 25 and definetly not rich, but I have no idea how much is standard to spend? 25$ 60$? Alot of the stuff on the gift registry isn't overly expensive, but is it bad taste to spend only 20 bucks or so on 2 small items? I've never had to deal with the purchase of a wedding gift before. Thanks for the advice.

Me and my ex broke up a while ago but satyed really good friends. She got a new b/f who treats her liek crap and is an ***. Even as just friends i would still text her goodmorning almost every morning so she felt loved cuz her b/f wasnt doin his job. About 2 months ago I stopped w/the goodmornings cuz i was tired of being on the back burner to her b/f and I wanted her feel like what it would be like w/o me in her life and try to make her see what she got rid of. So my ex stopped talking to me cuz i stopped saying goodmorning and being there for her everyday. The problem is im growing weak. I want to talk to her but idk if i should cuz idk if she has realized yet what she got rid of. Do i keep waiting for her to break and contact or do i start talking to her again? What do i do?

I was wondering what you do when you get into arguments? How do you resolve problems with each other? How do you stay calm during arguments? How do you get your point across to your partner without sounding rude or judgemental? I have been having problems with my husband, they are not huge issues, but we have a hard time communicating. We will go to councelling but would like that to be a last resort, or at least try some things before. How do you communicate in a positive way with your partner?
