Why not go for the supposedly traditional (I say supposedly because I've never actually been to a wedding where it's happened!) of 5 almonds? You can buy organza bags for them very cheaply on ebay.
Alternatively, because we're getting married at Christmas we're thinking of giving everyone chocolate coins or santas. Or getting some old-fashioned type sweets.
www.confetti.co.uk does a range of favours which might give you some ideas.

What I did was not unusual but I don't see it a lot - We had cd's of our favorite love songs, on every table - that can be expensive if you go to kinkos - but I created my cover using clipart on hardstock paper and cut and slid them in to the front and back of the cd case- on the back of the cd we listed people we wanted to thank - by doing that we cut costs to less than half - If there is a best buy in your area cd's and cd cases are cheap in bulk as well as the peel and stick label that goes on the cd I where I typed our names. My friend burned the songs for me, and we spent one evening just putting everything together. It's more time consuming than anything but it lasts a lifetime

Hi, im getting married to and i was reading a few bridal magazines for ideas and heres a few they came up with, lottorie tickets for all your guests, these could be cheap or expensive, depending on how many guests, Scratch Cards, Candles, Fortune cookies, toiletries, perfume/aftershave, Wine minatures, Spirit minitures, Novelty Lollys, Pebbles, etc. I cant decide what to have either. But im sure we will think of something.

The best thing is getting wedding and becoming a joint force for a new life. Therefore It must not be expensive instead invite few friends and colleagues get together celebrate with decent drinks and foods. if you can invite small organised DJ music and enjoy your wedding, don't make it costly and out of control.

I have seen lately:
Imprinted coasters
Imprinted seed packs, to grow the flowers like the wedding flowers
Engraved Shot Glasses
Little picture frames with a pic of the couple

Some friends of mine had the best idea. They had a CD of their favorite songs for everyone. They just compiled the songs that meant something to them and burned the CDs. They made a cover for it with their pictures on it and they even printed the CDs with their names and wedding date. You can by CD labels to stick on from Office Depot/Staples. I'm totally doing it for my wedding!

My husband and I did tea bags. We bought a big box of invidually wrapped tea bags, and then my husband printed up labels (we got them at Office Depot) with our names and wedding date, then I just stamped a little heart on them. It was really cute, and affordable!

Is this even in English?
You want to register for unusual gifts? Is that it?
I may not be answering the question well, but it's your wedding? You register for what the heck you want! If it's unusual then so be it?
I don't have any clue as to what you would want.
Try:

That's the best I can make out of this question.

I made bookmarks with a little thank you poem on them. I printed them at Officemax on cardstock and cut them myself at home. Cost me about $13 for 150.
