assuming that there's faith, or soul mates, or any of that happy sappy romantic crap, all of it assumes that you're destined to meet someone, as in pre-destiny, as in the opposite of free will

would you rather feel loved for who you are and know that person chose you for that very reason, or that they had no choice, it was all "destiny" or "fate" because you're "soul mates"

not so romantic when you really think about it

I just got a call not to long ago from a distant relative inviting me to a family reunion this coming up weekend. i haven't seen them in years, some because we dont get along. but thats not it. i kind of want to go, but theres two people there that i dont want to face. my dad and brother. i was raped by them years ago. should i go, and face my past. or just forget it?
